    Re: Random crash?

I am assuming that the script initiates a mission, instead of the descr_mission file. In that case the mission requires a custom ID, hence my mentioning of the crusader missions in the teutonic...

Re: batch files and windows 10

If the mod starts now in general and you run into issues during game play you should post in the mod's forum, better chances there. There might even be a patch for the mod.

Thanks for the come back. Hope you are enjoying my mod

    Re: Scripted Fort

Yeah, it was a long shot - UI scripting is patchy at best. Took me a good while to get my 'no retreat' script right where you automatically accept 'attack' for scripted battles in 1648.

Re: batch files and windows 10

Well, if the mod starts then the bat file has done it's thing.
    1. Are you getting any error messages?
    2. Have you given admin access to the BAT file (you shouldn't)?
    3. Is the mod's custom...

Well, basically you need to translate every TXT file in a mod's data\text directory, then run the mod to make should it generates fresh STRING.BIN files. 'menu_english' is just that, the menu...

    Re: Scripted Fort

The only way I could think of is to spawn a labeled character facing a defined direction and then trying to figure out how to script the steps necessary to build a fort. Opening the required scroll...

    Re: Random crash?

    Missing\invalid CAS files most likely.

mission ID - a mission reference in descr_missions that you use in the campaign script, like the teutonic crusader missions.

    Re: Machine translation

Well, you would need something like the goolge translator and then insert it into a macro. Not an easy task I would think.

In the F&S case I would assume it's a manual copy\paste affair from...

    Re: Scripted Fort

Yeah, sorry: you can only specify fort locations in the descr_strat file and you can only 'spawn' buildings in settlements, eg based on the EDB. Would be nice, though....
  11. Re: A silly question about custom campaigns

The issue here is that this name must be the same as the directory it resides in. Which means no spaces etc.
As you noticed you can have a descriptive title on the left, from campaign_descriptions,...

Remove it from the short cut, just on the EXE will do. On the short cut it might create issue, it certainly creates issues on the BAT file.

Re: Sengoku: Total War (a Shogun mod for M2TW)

I was thinking of those characters that you spawn at game start as I suggested - all they need is a level trait to assign those custom strat models. In fact it's fairly simple to convert their battle...

  19. [Resource] Re: Creating a World - Stone Forts on the Battle Map

Movement is slowed down. Building is disabled. Permanently. It could be that during the one or two turns of the flood event movement is not possible, but it certainly is afterward.
  20. [Resource] Re: Creating a World - Stone Forts on the Battle Map

Correct: the flood event disallows further building of towers and forts and it also continues to slow down movement. In mods it is usually disabled\deleted in descr_disasters.
