Another update here.
I've started working on a new bookmark, set in 451. The British Isles will still be off map, but the events reverberate in Scandinavia. The starting date is set immediately...
Amazing workaround! I couldn't get I_MapName to work at all, but yours works like a charm, CapnDan. Cheers!
What I did:
Create an ancillary and give it to a character in descr_strat. Use...
Cheers! Also a couple of new units coming with the new patch:

Both are using an axe modelled on bog finds from Vimose, Nydam,...
Cheers!
Thank you!
Dear HCS fans. I've been working for while with a small team (b0gia, Teobec, and Leon Katakalon) to bring you an unofficial version 1.0 of Hegemonia.
It's nearing completion and includes lots of...
Awesome. Will be interesting to see how ATW turns out in a Remastered version!
Good things come to those who wait :thumbsup2
Here are some screenshots of what I've been working on: New environments based on Roma Surrectum 3's - to be released alongside the forthcoming patch....
It's possible I'll include some sort of RS/new battle map environment in a future version ;)
When/if I ever make other (later) bookmarks, I think I'll have to include parts of the British Isles. Possibly a start date with Hengest and Hnæf at Finnesburg or thereabouts...
There's a new patch available. Get it here:

The patch is cumulative, which means it includes all previous patches in one package.
That'd be Joar :thumbsup2
Thank you very much for the kind words!
Hey there,
Just tried out the new version, and it's looking really good! I have a few suggestions though:
- I don't think you should use the shieldwall ability; that is, it shouldn't be set...
Takker!
Cheers!
For future versions there's likely to be more units, yes, but that might have a very long time horizon... Yes, currently there's basically only two rosters: West Germanic...
Thank you - and thanks for helping with the mapping of that area! ;-)
Hey Skat, thanks a lot for the feedback!
The map has always been the main attraction for me as a modder, so I've spent a lot of time over the years polishing one area after another. The places...
Cheers! :thumbsup2
This is a common issue with console/script spawned armies and agents. You can select the army by going into your list scroll.
You may want to build watchtowers if this happens in your own...
Yeah, all scripts are designed to work for the AI and the player equally. Now, of course the AI won't be able to adjust its behaviour properly a lot of the time, just like the player will be unlikely...
I see what's going on here. There are several scripts at work.
Firstly, the highest tier settlements lose 240 population without a governor present each turn (this may be a bit excessive, the tier...
Thank you for the kind words!
That the Swedes have better horses than others is from Jordanes' description of them. The only impact on the actual starting position is that the Upper Swedes...
Most of the credit for the units goes to the amazing guys who made Arthurian: Total War!
That's a pity. It's meant to be hard, but not in the way you describe it.
I'm not sure what you mean by enemy "warlords" being stronger and them getting new ones with 45 soldiers every turn (the...
I released a very minor patch to fix an issue with the script.

Thank you!
Please note that I've added some information about recommended settings: notably that the mod is balanced for Hard/Hard difficulty and Huge unit scale.
Thanks! Yes, Joar's stuff is amazing as always.
Mod download has been available for about an hour now. Enjoy!
Thank you, all! Follow this link for the new release thread!

Awesome! Particularly curious about the lion hunting scene :-P
Dear friends, Scandza: Total War now has an official release date!
The 21st of October
Here's a little teaser I made for the occassion (more cinematic than the previous battle footage):

Cheers!
@Cyrus, that'd be cool! Always interesting to see other people playing. I hope you'll like the campaign mechanics.
No. The religion mechanic has been re-appropriated for the migration unrest system.

The mod will most likely be released somewhere around mid-October.
Aside from the UI, Joar is making some really great art for the mod!
Here are some banner signatures you can use on the forum if you want to support the project:

Hey, thank you for the support everyone!
The mod is progressing at a relatively fast pace, and we're getting closer and closer to a release.
I initially intended to release a beta version prior...

Now that the Rome Remaster is at our doorstep, I thought it would be an ideal time to release Scandza in its current state before I may have to port it all to the new version of the game, so don't be...
Here, I made a video showing how the hoplite combat (and regular Greek formation) looks with my tweaks:
