@DaddyPanda - I don't think so; I finished work on the mod with the final release there, as I felt that most bugs had been quashed and unit balances were to my satisfaction.
Are there any updates...
Hi guys; sorry I've been inactive on this for a while (focusing on Imperator Rome mods of late!).
The Marian units are supposed to be steamrollers. What units in particular are you having...
Hi; sorry for the late reply, but basically in order to allow ladders I would need to make new engines altogether (using the old ones wouldn't work as they are too big). Hope that makes sense.
...
Thank you very much! Glad you're enjoying the mod! =D
Allright lads; quick update - fixed 2 bugs in AUC VI (notably the missing texture glitch for the Rhodian/Byzantine Hoplites, and the crash when viewing Roman cities on the campaign map - when you can...
Both of course ;)
Unfortunately though the Marian reforms are a hardcoded reform - there is simply no way any of us can edit the core parameters (basically, the reforms require Rome + one other city to be huge cities...

EDIT - I noticed that EB and RTR are among the candidates - maybe it's in the right place after all!
It doesn't matter...
Allright lads!
First off, thanks very much for the nomination - perked up my otherwise banal day =)
One question though; my mod is listed under "mods/submods", whereas it's got its own slot on...
Great work lads!
Not a problem!
In order for the Marian Reforms to kick in, you must build a Huge City in Rome and a Huge City in any of the major historic cities in the game (namely Antioch, Pella, Athens,...
^I never noticed that before! I'll give it a go and see what happens.
Could you be more specific? What is your problem exactly? =/
If you mean you can't see campaign models, that's likely a bad install. Try and reinstall the mod.
If you can't see it on the...
Seconded. Oops
Glad to see you enjoy the mod!
Surprised the Seleucids were so easy - I find Parthia to be a nightmare to bring to heel, with their main army of cataphracts and horse archers. Took me a long time...
...and I thought I was the only one who had a Heroic Victory in that part of Italy.
Same generals as well. Hat's off to you!
Rome has a very large military buildup at the start (due to the war with Pyrrhus); simply conquer or disband one of your armies. It's the best strategy for Rome in my opinion ;)
I remember reading about Sun Tzu; I travelled around China and saw many of the historical sites (Xi'an was fantastic). The Warring States Period reminds me of the Mediterranean (with the earlier...
My bad, sorry! =P
谢谢!
You are very welcome - I hope you enjoy the mod =)
Great discovery, thanks!
Ok, let's start simple; have you installed it to the correct drive and folder (i.e. with Steam - Steam/steamapps/common etc)?
Can you take a print screen and show...
I run the game off of Steam so it may have something to do with the antivirus. Perhaps people should be very careful to confirm that the installation is copied to the correct DRIVE (i.e. C/D/F) -...
Noticed that quite a few people are encountering problems launching the exe. With some testing, I've added an alternative batch file for launch (in lieu of the exe).
If you are encountering...
Try reinstalling your Alexander, then reinstalling the mod. Make sure it is installed to Steam/steamapps/common/RTWAlexander.
PM me if the issue persists; I'll be able to help faster ;)
Hey;
Make sure your antivirus is disabled when installing the mod - antiviruses appear to falseflag my .exe as a virus and delete it (meaning the game won't launch). Also, make sure the mod is...
Glad you enjoy it! In fact there ARE named legions; when you recruit a 1st cohort, the Cohort will be named "Legio I/II/III" and carry a cognomen of the region in which they were recruited; i.e....
I'm sorry it's been so problematic mate.
One last stab; if you find an exe relating to Alexander, rename it to RTW-ALX.exe and make sure a copy is placed alongside the AUC installation folder. Try...
Runs an exe called AUC.exe - which in turn is linked to the RTW-ALX.exe file.
Quick question - do you have antivirus? Some antiviruses like to delete exe files they don't know much about - some...
Any luck?
Ah! That's the problem. What is the exe called?
PS - Accidentally hit "Edit Post" on your comment, ignore it =P
Hmm. So as long as the AUC folder, exe and icon are located in the same folder (alongside bi/alexander and data) it should be ok. On Windows the normal location is simply alongside the data folder. ...
Make sure it's installed to the Alexander directory (i.e. Steam/Steamapps/common/RTW Alexander). NOT the Data folder.
It is fully compatible with the latest Alexander version (I'm testing it now,...
If you are playing Rome Total War Gold then install it to the general directory, not Alexander. That might solve the problem.
Invaded India with my heir to the Seleucid throne. Managed to take on a massive army with minor casualties. Total slaughter ensued.......

I'm very glad you're enjoying it bud! I'd love to see how your game is panning out sometime. Fire some pics up on the picture thread and let me see how your campaign is progressing if you'd like!
My current campaign as the Seleucids - managed to annex the Parthian and Bactrian lands (only after a brutal struggle) and now I'm turning my sights on the Arabians. Meanwhile, the Thracians and...
Thank you! It's a well loved game and I still enjoy it, so why not continue to develop and mod the thing? =P
Hope the mod gives you the same enjoyment!
You're very welcome ;)
Ah, just read Saul Tyre's response. Thanks mate!
