I know where you're coming from. The harmonies are too full and modern for my taste, the sequences heavily stricted in T-D cadences etc. That being said, I can't imagine any shape or form of genuine...
They do, but only few numbers.
Elaborating my laconic answer from yesterday: What you want in an attack are two things: 1) Isolate and destroy any single enemy units who separate from the main...
You need more archers and less cavalry.
So "nigh impossible" as difficulty level is warranted in this case. That's a good thing. Or are you implicitly proposing that Saka campagins should be easier? If so, why?
Nero, but I would take a while before judging Caesar as a absolute good entity like you did.
That's not possible ingame and besides, a good leader should not follow his battle plan which he created beforehand when he can see developments into which he can adapt or exploit the enemies'...
I use the pause to look around, representing a brief phase of recognition of my leader (I play with General's Camera enabled). No orders though. Gives you quite the feeling of the difficulty for real...
Sorry, I don't get you here. The question of this whole thread is: "Cavalry charges - how do they work in EBII?" My post adressed this exactly. Of course the cavalry behaves mechanically different...
Oh my, I was so angry about my full Boii army going rebel under one of my generals. I knew it wasn't bad luck because my faction leader had not proven himself and therefore was blessed with 1...
Charges do work in a manner which I believe is the better way and a huge improvement even of EBI. Why? What happens: Two lines of infantrymen begin to clash, sometimes the AI sends in their cavalry...
This is it. On very hard, the vanilla M2 campaigns cascade into war on all fronts, every time. Player's actions can't influence their opinion well enough to e.g. avoid an upcoming war or secure an...
As far as I could see, the AI is more than capable to expand quickly in relation to me (VH).
I especially like the relative cost reduction on mercenaries. I was very reluctant to use them in vanilla because of their high maintenance costs but now they are even with properly recruited troops....
Vanilla. I have to rely on it now because as playing as the Boii I do so with general's camera enabled - that means, I can only see from my general's perspective in the battle. Now, the siege battle...
In addition to the flash button, you can zoom into the minimap - the last mode shows not the stars and arrows for the single units but rather the formation - very good to inspect the main battle line...
I don't want to throw just another review in. Even in the current, non-final version, the mod is outstanding - truly prodesse et delectare. Other people around here seem to be way more eager than me...
Hello,
the (some?) Boii settlements and Generals seem to have two different names. Example province Boiotergion: The capital Streuinta is named Rigodunon in the tooltips' checkbox, the characters...
How about building a couple of bumblebee onagers and start firing into melee, watching all the lovely explosions devastate virtual soldiers...?

Well, building some boats in Northern Gaul? Why do you want to invade Britannia without controlling the Gaulish coastline?
Vadimo. Etrusci and Boii...looking forward to their unit composition.
Since nobody knows the "actual" number of troops it would be up to the team. However, I meant not something like 40000 Greeks against 100000 Persians but rather a 1:1 depiction in the battle. Imagine...
Gaugamela with true numbers :)
It's just not possible on the Medieval 2 engine. Besides, how different are these seven "daco-gaetians" that they can't be bound together in a faction? Shall the team picture every single germanic...
And this evidence comes through...? The only thing would be archaeological sources on this where it's explicitly clear that those tunics were worn in battle and not outfitted after the death. In...
Only a minor thing, but: In the small Romani Preview there are partly U's and partly V's used for the post-roman "U", for example FORUM or PORTUS MERCATORIUS but on the other hand CAMPVS MVNERVM or...
Day one-DLC: Playable Eleutheroi and Eremos :)
Why always "more"? Lets see how the first release will be, followed up by the "usual" patch-ins which were already mentioned. This is no company, these guys who put their combined efforts in their...
The progress can be seen quite easily and in full detail in their Twitter-account. What are they supposed to say in updates? Ironing out bugs and bad things it is for a big part now, god knows how...
Sinbuster, does this mean you have a limited time in which you have to "complete" trying out all the factions? I mean, that is logical consequence, not IMHO, like you write. I can understand where...
And what is the problem with it? You risk your beautiful armies at your own responsibility. Would be boring if one relied on a fix calculation for battle outcomes.
So lesson learned? Don't autoresolve, as this game is mean to be played by yourself. Besides, RTW and M2TW are two different games so not everything will be conferred into EB2.
Which game do you love? Surely not the product your wife paid for (but the Radious mod) and furthermore not the game in the release state which I paid for in my blindness during semester holidays....
I'd love to donate you a crate of beer, to be used on a meeting by vou all.
What the? Maybe the Russians should form in Manipular Formation or what does this stuff contribute?
Oh yes, the oasis looks fantastic!
Boii. Spreading Celts into the heart of Europe. Hahaha
Si tacuisses...Really, I understand your point that you absolutely adore Rome II but the transport ship ramming in early game is one of if not the most broken thing(s) in the game. Come on, you can...
Wow, glad to hear that the very basic things (A does a, B does b!) are apparently fixed. It's great to feel the birth of the game now in the forums although I've payed for it over a month ago.
Praise the Lord! Wait...please install a button which destroys an enemy when enabled. Problem? You don't have to push it then! Oh, this grandezza.
