    Re: Couple of Pahlava Issues

Farm development in Asaak has nothing whatsoever to do with changing the government type. You can leave the Royal Clan there and still meet the reform. Equally, a Settled Nomadic Territory allows...

    Re: Couple of Pahlava Issues

They are all the places that had actual royal capitals in them (or places just as significant in their wider region like Syrakousai). Whether or not they were Parthian capitals is irrelevant, that's...

    Re: Modern CPU for EBII

Nope, M2TW is ancient, just like RTW, it can only use one core.
  4. Re: Need help acquiring Archon traits for Koinon Hellenon FMs

Then don't play KH, there are other factions.

    Re: Couple of Pahlava Issues

They're historical seats of power across the map, not specific to Pahlava.

Are you building Foreign Colonies or not?

They're essentially the same men, but equipped and trained differently. Both...

    Re: Couple of Pahlava Issues

Yep, those are places best left with a Royal Clan government, or if you must a Settled Nomadic Territory. Just because they were capital cities doesn't mean they were universally recognised seats of...
  7. Re: The question about attacking settlements

Worth noting that the move command is different from the console_command move_character. The former makes the character use their movement points to traverse towards the desired location. The latter...
  8. Sticky: Re: Announcement: Europa Barbarorum II 2.35 released!

The Seleukids should be a bit more interesting in the patch, with at least the first Syrian War not being quite so phoney.

    Re: Couple of Pahlava Issues

You can only build Royal Satrapies in places with the royal_core hidden_resource. The full list is: Mysia, Bithynia, Lydia, Tsopk, Egrisi, Kartli, Adurbadegan, Syria, Adiabene, Media, Persis,...

    Re: Modern CPU for EBII

All I know about processing power for M2TW is that the game (being old) can only use a single core, no matter how many you actually have. So clock speed is all. I've seen suggestions you can shunt...

    Re: Marian Reforms ?

No, there will never be legionaries wearing lorica segmentata in EBII, unless you put them there yourself. It didn't exist in our timeframe.

    Re: Parthian Graphical Error

Yep, they're the same model, so also fixed.
  13. Sticky: Re: Announcement: Europa Barbarorum II 2.35 released!

The Provinciae government is also available when it reaches a certain level of Romanisation, but it doesn't provide any recruitment until after the Marian reform.

    Re: Label

You can use labels in place of character names in the script for certain functions. As with names, you can't assign the same label twice, and it can only be done in advance and specifically. Unlike...
  15. Re: Crash when I engage a Carthaginian army

With a recurring crash, you need to change the logging method from error to trace, to give more detail. You do that in your ebii.cfg.

As Lusi says, screenshots would help, too.

    Re: EB-Twitter updates Discussion

No, the updated Epilektoi Thorakitai are unlikely to be in the patch.

As you may have noticed from the feeds, the modelling team are on a roll revamping the Iberian roster at the moment. I...
  17. Re: Game freezing on turn 164, can't seem to pinpoint why.

Glad we got to the bottom of it. As I said, genuine freezes are exceptionally rare - if there's an error the game crashes, otherwise it's busy.
  18. Re: Game freezing on turn 164, can't seem to pinpoint why.

Have you observed the AI turn with the fog of war turned off (and AI moves on) to see exactly where it's happening? Are the Carthaginians destroying the Numidians?

The game very rarely freezes. It...

No, it's the Epilektoi Thorakitai, who are currently a beta placeholder.
  20. Sticky: Re: Announcement: Europa Barbarorum II 2.35 released!

No "reasoning", it's a charging bug with units that have a primary missile weapon. Should be improved in the upcoming patch, but ultimately M2TW wasn't designed with precursor weapons in mind.

    Re: EB-Twitter updates Discussion

There aren't any more eastern units for Anatolia, barring a later shielded cavalry unit. The eastern roster is pretty much done.
  22. Sticky: Re: Announcement: Europa Barbarorum II 2.35 released!

It's not a date-based reform, it's an experience-based one. Note the "battles against cataphracts" requirement is not limited to the Saka, any armies featuring any armoured cavalry will do.
  23. Re: Silly Suggestion: Petition for a Historical-Realistic Script

Experience doesn't add hit points, though it does boost morale. The commanders of those stacks have additional hit points with the HaleandHearty trait.

In this particular instance, it was to ensure we have a balanced and complete roster for the region, especially since Ethiopians will also appear in Egypt and Arabia.

    Re: EB-Twitter updates Discussion

Our decisions on what is and isn't featured on the unit list are based on the historicity and appropriateness of those units, not what you are personally fond of.
  26. Sticky: Re: Announcement: Europa Barbarorum II 2.35 released!

Just for clarity, Lusitanio is playing on the current development build, which includes some small tweaks (such as the scripted events which trigger war also changing the AI stance).

    Re: Trading with enemies

There is no trade between factions at war, or at the least it is greatly reduced. You can see this by the sharp drop in trade income if you go to war with a neighbouring faction.

    What's left...

  29. Re: Silly Suggestion: Petition for a Historical-Realistic Script

The script replaces the hardcoded "bandit" spawn (which can't be turned off entirely, it's down to its lowest possible setting which is very rare indeed) with smaller, but better-led stacks. They're...
  30. Sticky: Re: Announcement: Europa Barbarorum II 2.35 released!

It does, and they were also mobilised in large numbers as settlers further east by Alexander. Which is why they're a mainstay of the Foreign Colony until the Kardakes appear.
  31. Sticky: Re: v2.35 has been released - please do NOT report any bugs if you are playing with previous versions

Not permanently, it doesn't. That's the faction re-emergence script not working properly (since been amended).

    Re: freeze_recruit_pool

I think the turn's delay is a facet of any operation involving recruit _pools - the same happens with pools activated by event_counter.

    Re: RandomPercent

RandomPercent is terrible, don't use it in the script (you don't have any other choice in the EDCT); generate_random_counter is better. The latter reliably self-resets, the former does not.

  34. Re: EDB editing - workaround for CTD involving building boni and building_present requirement?

No, I mean separate out the units you want into the next level up/branch of the building, and put the requirement for the alchemists_lab in the upgrade path instead of on the recruit_pool line. Thus...

  36. Re: EDB editing - workaround for CTD involving building boni and building_present requirement?

Have you got room in the tree for another level which requires the alchemists_lab? That would be the easiest way to do it.
