    Yes it is a Nagamaki. The longer handle gives it higher control in relation to maneuvering the blade. I guess whoever came up with this sword didn't like the restrictions of a short handle in combat.

    Typically the Kusarigama is used to keep an opponent at bay and preventing them from attacking. You can also use the chain to grab their arm or their weapon. The actual sickle can be used in melee....

    The Kusarigama which just means chain sickle. A farmer's implement because they had nothing better. You are probably more liable to cut or strangle yourself then you are at actually killing enemy...

    The issue was really not being able to understand what was happening. Pretty much nothing was explained. The actual trippy scenes were not that much of a problem.

    Are you guys talking about Eragon? That was an interesting book series when I was a kid. Doesn't really hold up too well. But I mean the writer was 16 so it is what it is.
