I find that the gastraphetes do more damage than archers due to the entirety of the unit firing in volleys, rather than glitching out and only a handful of men firing. It also looks quite pretty.

Tip: Build your army around good quality AoR troops where possible, particularly in Italy and Thrace. AoR troops use the "foreigner" population, so they're easy to sustain on the front line.
Impression: Camillan, Polybian and Italian armour values are disproportionately high compared to their models. They also make fighting the Romans a hassle, as a single unit of triarii or principes...
A.
1. 10/01/17
2. Byzantine javelin units (and perhaps all)
3. Needs massively buffed missile damage.
4. It's presently 31, about half that of their archers, and while more than most Western...
>Starts up Chaos campaign on legendary
>Razes and sacks a few Varg settlements, recruits a full stack of Chaos warriors.
>Gets chased by 6 stacks from Skaelings, Dwarves and Kislev, who are...
Since my old uploads to the site are gone for some reason and I still get occasional messages asking for a small mod I made 5 years ago, I'm reuploading this. Just gives the various eastern line...
Artillery (and support-troops in general) aren't that great in Empire. Best get Darthmod or NTW. Or mod the organ guns to fire explosive shots...
If it's a matter of doing the core components of the game justice, then I'm suuurrre that the game won't be unplayably buggy before weeks of patches.
What difficulty? If you're going to fight head-on above the middle difficulty, you'll take casualties.
Cough... Cut content.... Cough....
Another 3 factions we can't play without paying extra. Plus another faction all the major mods already added.
Why shouldn't we complain? We could play 3 factions beforehand, now we can't. We...
Whoever has crossbows.
I'm a little confused, wasn't the bulk of the Hunnic empire composed of Steppe, and Hungary only a small portion?
 no, at least not at full-price. Maybe if it was treated as a DLC pre-order, but a season pass that only discounts is for suckers. The DLC will end up on sale in due time, at which point, the...
Morning Sun, and you can find it in the hosted mods section. Pretty much Darthmod, + 80something regions in Japan, + Korea.
That's mostly a stereotype. While blonde hair and blue eyes are much more prevalent there, they aren't the majority. Most people though are fairly slack with their definition of blonde, including...
Blond hair and blue eyes are recessive traits, so they have never been the "main" trait of any culture. They were probably just "average" looking.
How did you get your army setup page to have 3 rows?
Got to be quick. Rush Cairo with your initial stack and kill Murad Bey. The begining Mameluke stacks shouldn't be hard to deal with, their soldiers are terrible.
Apart from profits obviously, why can't it be a free day-one DLC?
While I won't dispute most of your post, bugs should not be a part of any product, and are entirely the responsibility of the developer and publisher. Hell, in Australia, I have the legal right to...
The missions don't really matter, they are really only extra money to make the main factions easier. Just mod in a few unit packs, and you've got your sparkly-new fleshed-out factions.
Oh, that's tomorrow? I had better disable automatic updates and set Steam to offline mode then, in the middle of an awesome Edetani game.
Lost all factions? If it didn't crash, then the problem was probably the factions being moved to the wrong spot.
You shouldn't need a mod. For the save error (I even get it with read-only unchecked), save it under a different name. Delete or rename the original, and give the altered copy the original name.
You could edit the research times to one turn, or move all the benefits of all the technologies to one tech. Use an ESF editor, google the instructions. The table should be named something including...
Nope, but this tutorial explains how you can do it yourself:

Excellent mod, repped. Ought to be stickied or sub-forumed.
If it does happen, it'll be no different to Kevin Rudd's apology in Australia: A hollow political stunt.
Great, now I've got to pay to play as my favourite faction, while nothing of note beyond a religion is added. Guess I'll just stop playing Rome 2 altogether instead.
Why have different weapons or different spells? Why even have dialogue beyond basic directions and objectives?
But then I can no longer play as Thracians with mods. I like Thrace how it is, please don't make me spend more money.
It would help if we knew which game you're talking about.
Should be noted that it's illegal to distribute such a mod, as it would allow people who haven't purchased the DLC to use the units.
I loved how in Rome 1 you couldn't take a tiny village and start spamming soldiers from it. And I loved how peasants could be recruited for the sole purpose of moving people.
Nah, the population...
Things like that annoy the hell out of me. The game shouldn't need that form of improvement after release. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the game a lot, but the amount of improvement it has needed...
If any of them are found in the game, the first would be found in Garamantian territory (roughly south of Carthage and Libya), the next three appear to be Amazon units, possibly an easter egg,...
No more faction DLC's please. They're already playable with mods. All faction DLC's serve to do is make playable factions unplayable until we pay more money on top of the game we already bought.

Using the DBEditor, copy the trait_level_effects table into a new pack, and set all the minister trait magnitudes to 0. The traits will still appear, but have no effect on gameplay. You can empty the...
