  2. Sticky: Re: Announcement: Europa Barbarorum II v2.4a released!

Have you tried the old RTW trick of waiting 10-15 seconds after the battle summary scroll appears, before clicking to exit battle? It gives the game more time to close down the battle engine.
  3. Re: Why every third patrician being adopted is called "Sergivs Orata" and how to fix that.

I thought someone might have applied it, but as I noted, no one is dedicated to traits at the moment.
  4. Re: Cyprus and Rhodes offer no local recruitment for eastern faction?

Pontos was missing a proper local pool for Kypros (there was the same "here, have some Pantodapoi" that the main Hellenistic factions get). The polis-imitation governments for Hayastan, Pahlava and...
  5. Sticky: Re: Announcement: Europa Barbarorum II v2.4a released!

There was no meaningful change to those things between 2.4 and 2.4a.

Rebel recruitment actually functioning is a big change from 2.35a to 2.4. However, it sounds like their financial situation...
  6. Re: Cyprus and Rhodes offer no local recruitment for eastern faction?

The Foreign Colony should give recruitment there (going to have to check). As should the Allied Government.

Just because you can build a factional government doesn't mean an area is within that...

Sticky: Re: Fans suggestion thread for future releases

From the team? No. That's a huge amount of work to alter scripts and traits, many of which are time-based.

If someone wanted to work on it as a sub-mod, by all means go ahead.
  8. Re: Are there going to be more changes to the faction reforms?

There will never be an Augustan reform which results in the Romans getting yet another complete change of roster. Waste of unit slots for an event so late in the game.

The only planned reform is a...
  9. Re: How do I get the free Basilike Patris for Macedon?

If I remember correctly, I removed that because spawning the government building was causing duplication.

So now the player doesn't get it for free any more, they have to pay for it.
  10. Re: Does 2.4a show up on intro page as 2.4?

I don't think the title page was updated when the quick fixes were put in to 2.4a.
  11. Re: Which factions do these belong to 1.Tocharian 2. Triveri ?

Tocharians will be in the late steppe rosters (Saka, Pahlava, Sauromatae), Triveri are in the Gallic rosters, I think.

Sticky: Re: Fans suggestion thread for future releases

The Marian reform already allows recruitment of auxiliaries via the Provinciae government. And the only new unit coming with the Augustan reform is the Praetorian Cohors.

Sticky: Re: Fans suggestion thread for future releases

Don't know how easy it would be to justify Sikeloi, just as we didn't make Mysians as a separate unit, rather than just using Hellenic ones.

The Rhodioi Apabatoi were considered, but ultimately...

Re: Help Trojan detected - two now

It's a false positive, Windows automatically flags any unsigned executable as such. We did not put malware into EB2.

We even submitted a report to Microsoft, though they're unlikely to do anything...

    Re: 2.4 CAI Blockade fetish

History also has long periods of non-aggression as well, though. Look at Carthage and the Ptolemaioi, who recognised each other's natural spheres of influence and never went to war.

    Re: Pahlava goverment question

Most of the provinces in the east are divided up into either Satrapy or Hyparchia - the former are the major centres of significance, the latter not. The Royal Satrapy can only be built in regions...
  18. Sticky: Re: Announcement: Europa Barbarorum II v2.4a released!

The only changes will have been fixes to things not working as intended. I don't have any specific recollections of rewriting any reform conditions.

    Re: 2.4 Changelog

I don't think you're going to break anything by tinkering with the formations file. It's something we do sparingly because it has a tendency to be buggy.
  21. Re: Baktria - Potential Reformer and scholarly trait

Capping the level the polis can reach so far away from the core regions is intentional. As noted, it's not just polis_one in some places, but the polis_three doesn't show up because it's not intended...
  22. Re: Baktria - Potential Reformer and scholarly trait

We didn't. I'm assuming you're talking about the Building Browser, that's all hardcoded stuff we have no control over. What I suspect has happened is you don't currently have colony points, so it...

    Re: 2.4 CAI Blockade fetish

Precisely this, unfortunately. There's a load of hardcoded behaviour in the naval CAI that we can't touch; the upshot of it is either you have naval invasions (and this blockading behaviour happens)...

Professional Celtic swordsmen (which includes the Adskoros) are a deliberately restricted unit. No one can recruit them in an Allied Government, only in factional governments or the Foreign Colony.
  29. Sticky: Re: Announcement: Europa Barbarorum II v2.4 released!

They don't have any yet. We do now have some ideas for implementing them, but it hasn't been done yet because we don't have anyone on the team dedicated to traits.

  31. Sticky: Re: v2.4 has been released - please do NOT report any bugs if you are playing with previous versions
