It's 218 now, and a fair bit has happened. I was forced into taking much more land from the Sweboz than I wanted, as they simply refused to accept a ceasefire (and I'm not one to just sit around...
Ah so if you have maxed out your MICs in a city before a reform occurs, there will always be a new barracks to upgrade to after the reforms? Thats good if its the case, as I've been holding back...
223 and it's all kicking off now! Makedonia/Epeiros/KH are all still locked in their death struggle... KH is spreading its wings, Epeiros is dying now, but holding on with a full stack and a full...
I'm loving the celtic slingers in my Casse campaign at the moment. They're not so effective against the more armoured Aedui units, but against the Sweboz they're excellent.
I'm able to build the second level military port at Ictis - is that not supposed to be the case? I was also able to build a large trading harbour at Camulosodae... its description said that it...
We had this discussion a little while back, but I couldn't find it unfortunately... at the time I seem to remember saying that I liked having English translations for units etc... now, I don't -...
Finally got around to starting a new 0.81a campaign - as the Casse this time. It's 242, and I've almost completed the conquest of the islands. I spent a few years sitting in my capital just building...
I'm playing as Casse now in fact, and I've just been able to build a military port at Ictis, so there is a place both islands you can build boats.
The town in the south west of Ireland allows the production of ships - you need to conquer the two islands before you can even think about taking on the mainland really.
I downloaded without any problems - but I won't be installing it until I've finished my Romani campaign I think!
Every single turn for me is now taking absolutely ages! This is not because of some technical glitch, but rather because I am now at war with Carthage, the Arverni, the Sweboz, and the Getai - all of...
You're going to get some trouble from the Sweboz before long I think...
Well EB is easily the most extensively researched mod for the game you can get - and personally I think it plays better than any other as well. If you want historical accuracy then EB is the mod for...
Velites appear when the Polybian reforms kick in - check your built structures list for your settlements and you should see a Polybian Military Era structure in there. I don't remember receiving a...
Yes I believe it is widely accepted that Spartans were encouraged to engage in homosexual practices, as they thought it would create a very strong bond between the men and thus make them fight better.
Sounds like a directX issue... you running the latest version?
I just had what initially looked like a fairly hopeless city defence battle - about 1600 Getai against 400 Romans, consisting mostly of weakened units. They have about 7 units of cavalry, which they...

205 BCE and it looks like the once powerful Ptolemaic empire is beginning to break up! Several of their regions have rebelled against...

Well quite a bit has changed since the last update - the Casse are finally on the move! Wow! I didn't think that would ever happen. The...
EB2 will be for M2TW... if 0.81 were, we'd be waiting a very long time I think.
The only thing to do with rebels that bugs me at the moment are pirates... up in the Baltic at the moment there about about 4 full stacks of pirates.
Well it would be nice to see Makedonia be more aggressive because they almost always get destroyed in my games. Epeiros always sweeps down and takes Pella and they never recover after that - even...
I think the Ptolemies either steamroll everything in their path, or get gobbled up... Baktria is a bit worrying... what are their victory conditions? (factions they have to outlast, not regions to...
He looks a little Carthaginian to me...
Personally, I don't mind when it is released. I'd prefer it to be relatively bug-free than rushed out though. Also, I want to finish my current campaign before patching!
Up to 227 now. I have completed destroyed Epeiros, and Getai (who I am allied with) helped me finish them off by taking Byzantion from them. The Arverni, who are also my allies decided that the...
Good news - I found an older save (was only a few turns before the problems started) and tried that - and I'm pretty sure I've passed the point where the CTD was happening before... so fingers...
This is more of a second impression really... but... it's much more fun than Mediæval II hehe
One question: why do you want to translate item 1) on your list? Isn't that the faction name in their native language? 2) and 3) obviously make sense to translate... but the first doesn't to me.
230 so far in my latest game as Rome - then a terminal CTD.
I've just been playing as Rome, and once I got the Polybian reforms I was able to recruit some of the units (mainly just Velites) in a few of the Type I areas... I don't remember seeing anything much...
Now I really don't have any idea what the problem is. I used give_trait to make one of my spies brilliant, and put him inside the city. I sent an army of mine there, attacked, and the gates were...
I think it was only an 8% chance so that might not work too well... I thought about taking over Baktria's turn, using control romans_brutii but control is just an unrecognised command. I might give...
That worked... still can't solve the problem though. I moved the army I thought was the problem to my own territory and destroyed it - still the crash happens. So I looked at the next faction in the...
I let the turn run with the fow toggled off, just to see what was happening. The ctd occurs when one of their armies (no general) enters one of their cities. I was going to try moving one of my...
Thanks for the tip, I'll try that out tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
Well I'm forced to abandon this game now as I get a CTD on Pahlava's turn... doesn't seem to be anything I can do about it.
I agree with _TheChevalier_ - units are easy to get used to, buildings less so, I find.
Up to 240BCE now, and things are starting to get interesting. The Casse are still completely stuck, but the Sweboz are really expanding rapidly, and Epeirus put on a sudden growth spurt which brought...
