    Re: Sassanid invasion (v 1.0.0 Available for v 1.2)

The Osprey illustrations for the Sasanians are *awful.* The text and diagrams in the Ospreys was terrible as well.
and even then, these units aren't based that closely on them.
    or anything period...

    Re: Sassanid invasion (v 1.0.0 Available for v 1.2)

On masks, we have a few early iconographical sources that hint at them. Firstly is a shell from the Persian gulf showing a lancer, secondly is a graffito from Dura showing an armoured archer. In both...
  5. [WIP] Re: [Proposal] Third Century Mod- name to be confirmed

Excellent idea, and a fascinating time period. The Arsacids should have the Sasanians (in Stakhr), Qaren (in Dihistan), and Suren (in Sistan) as their main vassals. Hatraenes should also be a vassal....

Guys, this is amazing. Truly fantastic work. The Sasanians look and play excellently.

The Kings and princes would wear them over armour sometimes maybe (seen at Firuzabad a few centuries earlier, and in Sogdian / Xinjiang art on kings and gods as jewellery), but not regular warriors.
