Re: Ethereal Units.... do they suck?

    I ran some more tests:

    - Cairn Wraiths are capable of decimating Demigryph Knights (including halberds) despite not being anti-large (2x Skeletal Spearmen are completely wiped out, dealing...

Re: Reiksguard Continue Attacking with Lances

Gameplay-wise perhaps not but when we are talking about the series focused around how units fight on the tactical map (thus making it important how everything looks like) the lack of such features...

Re: Ethereal Units.... do they suck?

This unit is supposed to better withstand the physical attacks but as of right now its low health pool nullifies the ethereal effect they have, while still making them susceptible to magical damage.

Re: Lore V Fun (play nice)

I'd like the spirit of Warhammer to endure. By that I understand Warhammer's emphasis on lethality of combat and sticking with your choices (which can be seen in games such as Mordheim: City of the...
  5. Re: HEIR TO SIGMAR - Legendary Empire Long Campaign Victory - Diplomatic route - My thoughts

You see what you want to see. "Streamlined" doesn't not always equal "dumbed down" just as "complex" (or complicated) does not always equal "deep".

Re: Lets remove the magical ladders shall we?

If something surprises me it's the inability to attack the city without having the siege equipment (which is surprising but good - I didn't like how there were no long sieges in Shogun 2). Doesn't...
  7. Poll: Re: which RACES do you wanna see as DLC? (ones not already in game)

Why people talk about Bretonnia and Kislev when they are already in game and have a separate thread made for them?...
  8. Poll: Re: Poll: Which TW:W factions do you most want to see as DLC?

Bretonia (I count on them being FLC, given their presence in multiplayer) and Kislev for sure. Maybe Border Princes and Tilea for more unique army mechanic (mercenaries).
  9. Poll: Re: which RACES do you wanna see as DLC? (ones not already in game)

I am not fond of Skaven as a race but as an army they sound interesting enough.

Re: Units Special Formations - Abilities

I don't think that microing changed all that much, rather the focus has been shifted elsewhere - instead of using units' abilities we have spells now (and sometimes hero abilities. A lot of them)....

Re: Would you call TW Warhammer a step forward?

One thing Warhammer did really well - in my opinion - was introducing various factions with different mechanics and units/playstyles. It was gnawing at me since playing Napoleon. At some point I...
  12. Re: Same Starting Position and Strategy EVERY TIME

You can ignore the "story" part if you so wish, just as you can ignore sometimes nonsensical quests given by the faction. I saw people having problems beating the "starting enemies" or doing ...
  13. Re: can't occupy or colonize certain faction settlements with dwarfs !?

Most likely because the Dwarven architecture is considered passe amongst the Midnight Aristocracy.

Personally I like it. It limits world-wide conquest and encourages expansion in certain...

Re: Ethereal Units.... do they suck?

They take 3/4 less damage from non-magical attacks which is "balanced out" by having very low health pool (almost 1/3 of what Grave Guards have). They seem to perform slightly better than Grave...

    Re: Agents?

Agents (or Heroes) serve in two roles: they can be a hero unit in combat or they can serve as agents. This means that they will be more useful depending how you level them up. You can make them into...

Re: Would you call TW Warhammer a step forward?

I wouldn't call it a step forward but it's not as dramatic step back as some people claim it to be.

Sieges - Yes, sieges are simplified now to a single wall (or two walls, in some cases) but what...
