The coded requirements for the Helleno-Nomadic Satrapy are

  2. The furthest-traveling mercenary as supported by historical evidence

I've always wondered which mercenary unit travelled the furthest during their deployments into various foreign theaters of war. We've all heard of the southern Gauls who migrated into Galatia and...

Re: The most interesting 'barbarian' faction

The Getai campaign/reform is the closest thing you'll ever get to an EBII "storyline." There is a lengthy series of missions/events that you, the Getai player, can experience. I'll list them all...
  5. Re: Have you changed the way you play as time went on?

I used to play a campaign just to achieve a singular "goal". Said goal usually was to just achieve a reform or assemble an all-star cast of units into a royal army. I intended to play around with...

As it turns out, sending your Pothos character to visit Pella DOES have benefits - and side effects.

  7. Re: Can't build Arverni Migration factional government

All Celtic factions' "Migration" government simulates that faction's core tribes migrating to a new area, as they (infamously) did historically. It wouldn't make sense for them to migrate into lands...

Please remove the hashtag from the

    Re: Saba - AI Siege

It's a M2TW bug. You answered all your questions in your first paragraph. The only way to play it "fair" is to sally forth when the relief force besieges Maryab, but that's an unwinnable battle....
  10. Re: Is it worth conquering Greece and Anatolia as Nabatea?

Anatolia, definitely. You can always build a Satrapy there, which is already enough to unlock nearly all construction options. The units from a Satrapy in Anatolia are limited to basic hellenistic...

Re: The thread for horrible suggestions

There should be an extra diplomacy option labeled "Ligma". The resulting dialogue goes like this:

"It's so sad that Antigonos Ptolemaios died of Ligma"

"Who the hell is Antigonos Ptolemaios?"

  13. Re: CTD when loading a battle including my army on full stack

Logs aren't very well handled in M2TW. There are several possibilities for your logging issue.

Re: Rad compares units - a thread for balancing.

Someone on the EBII team mentioned that the bodyguard versions of Carthaginian Elite Cavalry "suffices", so an entire separate unit of them is too much.

  40. Re: Best strategies for maintaining public order and explaining what exactly causes unrest

Only the unit numbers matter. A unit of 100 cataphract soldiers has the exact same garrison boost as a depleted unit of 100 Pantodapoi, but cost waaaaay more. Use large-unit cheap troops every time
