  1. Re: General discussion (use of already implemented functions, etc.)

It does not, I can attest the file size does not change one bit.

Also, in steam both medieval2 and kingdoms are the same file now! So renaming is not necessary it seems? I don't remember it being...
  2. Re: General discussion (use of already implemented functions, etc.)

Oh never mind. Somehow got a brainfart and forgot to click (in fact didn't even saw) the apply changes button right down there. It's important to remember to click apply changes on every box. I feel...
  3. Re: General discussion (use of already implemented functions, etc.)

With the last two versions I haven't been able to change the start config file from the launcher. After I manually edit it on the config file it starts okay the mods.
    Windows 10 pro 64 bits....
  4. Re: General discussion (use of already implemented functions, etc.)

But there could be another icons in the mod folder if there are custom cursors doesnt? Please correct me if Im wrong.
  5. Re: General discussion (use of already implemented functions, etc.)

I mean about the icons. Most mod icons are named launcher.ico, icon.ico, mod.ico, "modfoldername".ico... you could try to read and load such files, or as generally there will be a single icon file in...
  6. Re: General discussion (use of already implemented functions, etc.)

Also pure cosmetic, but you could load the .ico from the mod folder at one side of the button.

I mean, you could preload the most common names or simply to give people the option to do it.
  7. Sticky: Re: What do you think is missing in MTW2? Here we make update plans.

Have each faction use only a single first name in the faction list. This would make all your faction characters have the same "surname" and use the other thing as replacement for first names.
  8. Re: General discussion (use of already implemented functions, etc.)

    I have windows 10 pro 64bit.
    All is alrigth.
  9. Re: General discussion (use of already implemented functions, etc.)

You have to install it on the mod folder. If people want to play vanilla kingdoms campaings I guess they'll have to install it in each folder and unpack them if required?
  10. Re: General discussion (use of already implemented functions, etc.)

May I suggest, making the image customizable for the users. Should be fairly tribial and only do it if you want and whenever you feel like it, pretty low in the priority list.

    Edit: You are my...
  11. Re: General discussion (use of already implemented functions, etc.)

    Awesome.
  12. Re: General discussion (use of already implemented functions, etc.)

Take your time pal. Quality over quantity.
  13. Sticky: Re: Total War Saga: TROY announced! - general discussion

Well, in past games you had the mummy egiptians figthing ninja assasins romans on the battlefield. If thats not fantasy I dunno what is. But somehow Troy seem to be pushing it way further. I would...
  14. Sticky: Re: Total War Saga: TROY announced! - general discussion

    Total Gathering Oh!
  15. Sticky: Re: What do you think is missing in MTW2? Here we make update plans.

Interesting, hes talking about a complete plugin, ai, building system, all. Would you then also ban or allow specifc factions to build forts? IE let the romans build them but not the huns?
  16. Sticky: Re: What do you think is missing in MTW2? Here we make update plans.

Oh well Rome was not build in a day. The thing is getting enough people interested and pitching in. Look at Julius and Augustus engines, both clones of Caesar III. With enough interest and people you...
  17. Sticky: Re: What do you think is missing in MTW2? Here we make update plans.

    It would be neat indeed.

In fact, I know is very daunting, but you could write a new engine for a total war like game, or at least start in github or something, Im sure it would become pretty...

Re: Total War: Warhammer II announced

Yeah, kinda. Modt exatcly is the model would be practically inmortal as long they battle in Athel Loren. Quickly raising back from dead unless you manage to kill them both in quick succesion. Not...

It seems it would need to fiddle with the position of the values on the screen.

    With sprinkles of question marks.
  22. Sticky: Re: What do you think is missing in MTW2? Here we make update plans.

What about the tool being capable of making dialog screens with more than two buttons and info from variables from the game that we choose? Custom info screens.
  23. Re: The "New" Frontier of M2TW Modding: Memory Editing

Oh, thanks for the reply, but I was talking about this
Because curently theres a person working again in this and has made a LOT of progress but is starting from zero. Of particular interest would...
  24. Re: General discussion (use of already implemented functions, etc.)

One of the main uses this would have is to simulate minor settlements and villages all over the place. It would be awesome if an orc conquered province change the "towns" from well, human towns to...
  25. Re: General discussion (use of already implemented functions, etc.)

I have a question, its possible to subject the load the models to variables and load them again while playing the campaing? Nothing too fancy, just to achieve something like this:...
  26. Sticky: Re: What do you think is missing in MTW2? Here we make update plans.

I think there's a list Gigantus made about all the commands that don't work or work with flaws.

    EDIT: Got it

DOUBLE EDIT: Never mind, my brain skipped the CONSOLE at the phrase, that post...

And so youneuoy opened his maw, and forward came Jadi, DinarMayor and many other demons... and with a unheard song, it announced the second age of Eyecandy and Inmersion!

Leo's works seems to really cover this. Now, Youneuoy current work with trade resources and what is planned on the future seems relevant to this too. Perhaps he manages to find a way for forts not...
  29. Sticky: Re: What do you think is missing in MTW2? Here we make update plans.

I.. honestly don't know what this means, but sure seems like something big for pro-modders.

You think you could override the tooltip on certain coordinates so the same resource can have different...
  30. Sticky: Re: What do you think is missing in MTW2? Here we make update plans.

Or just like Erken say, different small towns. If you can change the model trough scripts that check the ownership of the provinces you could end up with a strat-map effect that reflects who owns...
  31. Sticky: Re: What do you think is missing in MTW2? Here we make update plans.

Wow! What a way to solve a problem by thinking outside the box! Could one change the models during the campaing or they are fixed? Either way, great job!

Mr. Gigantus I know this migth be offtopic, but back in 2014 Zarathos claimed to have increased the limit of Units up to 1000. There was even a group dedicated to this with some big name members....
  34. Re: The "New" Frontier of M2TW Modding: Memory Editing

Sorry for the double post. But no one involved in the project on this thread could pass on the info on how to increase the unit limit to youneuoy?

Re: Creatures crash fix(TATW, DCI, etc)

Whitelisting the exe on your av should do it, that is if you manage to unzip it first. Which is why it should be customary to disable av, unzip the file, whitelist it, re enable the av. It would seem...
