Console as in pressing "~" in-game. The game is actually freezing such that you can't even use any keyboard buttons? If so, that sounds like an entirely different problem.
This is Erken's response on page 17 of this thread. Go back to page 17 +/- a page and you can read more.
I'm not sure if this will resolve your issue, but it's worth doing at the very least for...
Did you try "run_ai" in the console?
Agreed. I wish there were a "GTFO my land" diplomacy option, that, if refused, meant they have declared war on you.
ebii\data\export_descr_unit.txt
I figured so, but I was more just curious what the root issue was.
Interesting. I'm still getting used to M2TW's replenish rate mechanic.
In addition to their availability for recruitment in a given province, I believe there also need to be units available in the recruitment pool.
That makes sense. I do enjoy slower expansion in my games, but at the same time I feel it is a little immersion-breaking to take a year to traverse Italy. I guess that's where customization comes in....
Gotcha, so the bug is that AI sometimes doesn't restart after re-emergence if you have fog of war on?
I'm with you there! Before asking in the main forum, anyone know the devs' reasoning for the amount of movement currently in the game (e.g. 125 for FM)?
What does this nudge do? Is it essentially dealing with some M2TW bug?
My understanding is that VH campaign cripples the diplomacy some, but I haven't played on VH campaign, personally.
Oh, god, I recently replayed some EB1, and this is so true. Gets old really fast.
Nice report! Looks like you're in quite the pickle. Do you typically starve out settlements or assault? Also, on what difficulty settings are you playing?
So using run_ai would allow you to continue the campaign, but you will not see any faction re-emergence or just Pergamon re-emergence?
I tried bordinis' save on my setup, and get the freeze as well. As soon as you end turn, it hangs on Carthage. If you turn off fog of war, the camera moves here, then stops.

Ok nice. Thank you for explaining.
I played with slightly more move points on EB1 and liked it a lot.
What is the reasoning for going with 500 for all characters? By default, EB2 has different rates for armies, navies, and all 3...
Disregard my post. Didn't see redin5ide.82's response.
Oh ok, I misunderstood. Is the issue occurring for anyone that does not have it installed to Program Files or Program Files (x86)? I do not have it installed there, and had no issue with the patch.
Quintus, what if using the non-installer version of EB 2.35, you extract it to some location like F:\Game Stuff\M2TW. Then, you extract the 2.35A patch on top of that. Finally, move the whole thing...
I'm not familiar with video-game modelling software, but if the EB modellers can export the models as .STL files, I believe that's all you need to load them into a 3D printer.
Yes! I would love to start with only Latium as a province and have to fight the Samnite Wars. I understand that would be a lot of work to go back that much farther though.
That was supposed to be a reply with quote to Ivir Baggins. I still can't edit posts yet though -_-
Check out the unrest section in Poppis' city management guide. Maybe it will help you figure out what's going on.

Is it intentional for the Celtic horn music to play when you're playing as Rome if you're fighting Celts? According to descr_sounds_music, it looks like it should only be Roman battle music. Is there...
This may be a dumb question, but what's the difference between light, medium, and heavy infantry? Like, is it a sum of something in the stats?
Good to know. Thanks. I'll try to refrain from spamming the forum to reach editing capabilities. :laughter:
I figured it out, but I'm not sure how to edit posts. You have to delete events.dat and events.idx in the ebii/data/sounds folder and regenerate them in order for those changes to come through.

Greetings! Thank you all for making this great mod. It's running very smoothly.
I'd like to make a couple changes to EB2. These worked back on RTW, but I guess the Medieval 2 engine works a little...
Oh ok. So the game can't be completely accurate, because then you'd have loads of family trees. Although by the time you get a good deal of turns into the game it would more closely approximate...
I guess I was too incompetent to realize I had a second guy eligible for consulship. Maybe a dumb question, but did the Romans ever only have one consul because the other eligible guy couldn't make...
I just remembered something that's always bothered me about the Romans in this game. Where are the other praetors/consuls? If I've only got one consul in my family tree, i.e. a playable character,...
I posted this question in EB1 forum by mistake, but what happened to the Rorarii and Accensi? I tried using the forum's advanced search, but it doesn't appear to have an option to narrow results...
Woops, sorry guys. Wrong forum. Was going to ask this in EB2. :whistling
Apologies if this should be obvious, but what happened to the Rorarii and Accensi? I tried using the forum's advanced search, but it doesn't appear to have an option to narrow results down to this...
Wow that's really cool. Good to know.
Ever since playing EB1 I can't use any other mod or play Rome 2 because they speak English. It just ruins the immersion for me.
