2,100 years before the world wanted Arabian oil there was a major trade routes called the Spice Road/Incense trade route, from at least 6,000 BC! Arabia Felix being the main source...
yeah some nice new helmets, I plan on adding them when I get time. Have to re-work the textures first, maybe someone might already be working on it? Right now they are too dark.
We would all love to edit the campaign map and city maps but without proper tools it makes it very hard to do and glitchy like that example unfortunatly. I would also love changing road textures as...
But that is not correct in "English" it is in "American" though.... :whistling
Can take a look at cretan archers again. Just careful to mention that name as Ivan will then write a whole essay on cretan archers! :laughter:
Whats the issue? Remove the shields on their back?
We dont have tools for modding campaign maps like that unfortunatly.
Also never heard of the phrase "Mastodontic effort" before, I like it! Guess in english same as "mammoth task".
Its a known animation issue of formed combat. That will be fixed with Kam's future battle packs and new DLC as we move away from formed attack and make use of the new working formations. However that...
I hope it works out! I really want you to overhaul each culture's generals in DEI now!
We need 30 unique greek, eastern and barbarian faces, no pressure... :laughter:
Going by assets in upcoming DLC there is stuff for Etruscans, Rome, Samnites, Veneti, Ligurians, Sardi, Magna Graecia/Syracuse, and Cisalpine Gauls.
In the campaign at least, Rome, Cisalpine...
Yeah but out of german tribes, Cimbri have a bit more interest with their earlier invasion of Rome, plus they are northern group so more different to Suebi and Lugii.
Damn sorry KAM, how terrible of me! I meant to say Danzig! :run:
Sounds good. :thumbsup2
I like the idea of more skirmishing for roman aux cav, they already technically do but only have 1 ammo precursor javelins for now. Maybe giving them 3 ammo or something would allow them to skirmish...
There is a great submod being made already for Cyrenaica in submod forum... Other suggestions are good but the time and effort to do them is needed to update mod after new DLCs for now.
When all...
Great news! Yeah noticed that cloak too. Perfect look for Romans and auxiliaries etc, maybe even greeks. But clipping on armour is a shame, also looks a tiny bit too short right now. Several other...
I did some edits to them, they are in AOR area 43 so that is Sarmatia. I recently did their historical description. Rather than proto-slavs I refined them into being early baltic tribes (where early...
Yes this is great, amazing mod with the best looking units made in Rome 2! :thumbsup2 Congrats to the True Legions team. Also thanks to all the DEI players for supporting us too!
Family tree and working shield wall!!! Now that is more like it CA, (although should have been done 5 yrs ago)...
Answered in feedback thread. Although formed march animations are not perfect they are better than the vanilla unformed march on sword units. Those barbarians waltz along without a care in the world,...
there is but that would just revert animations to the bad vanilla where “formed infantry” like legionaries do not hold shield in front and wave their swords along like they are having a jolly strole...
Feel free to make new animations for Rome 2! Otherwise that is what we have atm...
That is intended, here was the preview about this new reform.... http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?780687-Preview-Indo-Carthaginians&highlight=preview :rofls:
Joking aside I guess it...
Answered before why Carthage has no pike units. You can read reasons why earlier in this thread.
Yep as roman legionaries did not use a spatha (until later) it was only a cavalry weapon...
I am thinking the formed attack removal is a good thing now as it also fixes animation bugs. Gonna use this mod when I play game again. New system sounds very interesting so far.
I think the level 1 generals do not wear helmets, is that what you see? Also maybe Rome 2 HD is conflicting with shield textures in this (and DEI) so check if that fixes issue?
For a mod based on ancient times there really seems to me to be a lack of dinosaurs! Where is my T-Rex mounts for Ptolomies?!?
Not sure how you see that? The imperial praetorians have cuirass too like the image (I used same for roman tribune outfits) and large plumes like the image. Went with blue/white to make them stand...
Ah thanks for spotting, need to change stats and card to match the unit. That was an older AOR unit that should be made to match the new carthage libyan levies...
Ah OK, will remove it in case... Not certain which book its from.
not in normal DEI as we removed that weapon type, but if you mod it back in with a unit, they would be able to use it with focus fire yes.
Your welcome! Your screenshots inspired me to add these helmets!
Found a nice image of legionary equipment. Looks like it says 2nd half of 1st century AD.
we have the first 2 types in DEI for Marian and early Empire.
They can, creten settlers. But dont know which building, is it in tier 3 barracks?
Would have to wait for Daruwind to release but even then, it would be a huge job to then edit DEI start pos it seems. Its not a standard mod that can be combined but rather complicated edits to the...
Nothing new there, that is the same "focus fire" ability we have in DEI. Only first the archers were set to flaming arrows in battle. You can already do the same in DEI.....
Hope that clears it...
No it is against my principles to go back to bad looking older units! But anyone is welcome to create a sub mod. Not sure why though, the older montefortinos and mail does not look up to scratch in...
No, the ability fires what ever weapon they are equipped with. So ability does not effect damage only the free fire targetting. Similar to artillery.
We answered it several times mate... that is just it’s name does not apply weapon damage. Nothing to do with iron jav anymore!
Yep re-purposed so nothing to do with iron javelin weapon now, thats just the "name" of the focus fire ability. Much like the random names like mp_test 12 etc which are used for various things like...
