I would say Hard/Normal is a better experience, the very hard or hard battles get absurd.
Are you sure you're using the correct formations for your exe?
The campaign is bad if you don't limit your exploits. In theory, you can only basically recruit armies full of limitanei->etc path and they will win every battle because of bad auto-resolve...
It looks pretty disappointing as most of their recent games. At least we have the classics.
I once had 4 spies who were almost guaranteed to find a plague and they ravaged Gaul while I was busy elsewhere.
Why would I torture myself with such rules? Doesn't make any sense to me.
Update to 3.1 it fixes many problems.
If you go above 200k the script removes money.
Do you have the latest version?
You probably have a virus or an anti-virus is preventing from using the ,exe. You need to allow full access from the AV software to use the .exe. If it doesn't work, uninstall your AV maybe.
Yeah I found the new models amazing on the battlefield. No pikes though. It really brings Roma Surrectum to mind. Sad if development has ended with the beta.
Is this mod dead?
I had expected these men to be phalangites as advertised but I see swords, not pikes. What's up with this? They did infact still fight in the Phalanx formation even when Sulla defeated them.
Hi, I always exterminate as slavery leads quickly to squalor problems. I always make all cities a part of Rome ASAP except early when you might want quick allied cohorts.
Check the AOR map for what...
I wish this hardcoded thing could be modded out somehow.
I think it was a bad decision by the modders to place Hannibal too close to Rome to be within the reach of her armies. You can always kill and defeat Hannibal's army on the first turn.
Do you have the 4gb patch?
Script should always be activated. Other than that. Do you have the 4gb patch applied? How much RAM do you have?
Sinuhet Alexander is good IIRC.
Elite hoplites beaten by fresh cohorts? Depends on the cohorts really. I have found Triarii to work well against elite hoplites while light troops or Polybians pepper the unshielded side with...
Sometimes I wonder how people like these are in real life.
What do you mean? I have exactly opposite experiences. What exe are you playing with?
Hoplites are good if they are the elite variety. They are almost unbrokeable in defence. Offense is bad though.
Could we get a fewer stacks only version?
Are you playing the latest version(3.1)? If you use 2.5 or 2.6 it did not remove huge walls which often meant CTDs or camera bugs.
Also, save every turn. You don't want a possible memory related...
I would say use Huge. I rarely have this problem with Huge and flanking is often difficult.
Are you playing 0-turn or 1-turn?
I suggest playing on Medium-Medium. It's the most balanced. If you want less money, maybe Hard-Medium. Hard battles mean sometimes crazy results like some troop of...
Memorise a system for enabling the script and you will never lose a campaign. BTW did you know, never quick save! That bugs the game as well.
I disagree. Sometimes the battle just goes on and on. Especially if it's phalanx vs phalanx and everything else has been spent.
I'd like to know how advanced this mod is in it's current form. I want a balanced and difficult game with some arcade elements staying in the battle(no 1 hour battles(45min is good) and slow...
I suggest 2 army templates for a campaign. One with the best troops used for sieges with mostly infantry and a couple rock throwers and a general. Keep this one out of the field battles.
The second...

I solved my steam issues last year.
Thanks for the Belgae horses. I hate chariots, will try today if that works.
Where did you find this patch?
Does any of these use chariots as the leader bodyguard? I hate 1-turn though.
So I always steamroll after I get my economy going. I usually play Pontus or Rome, any suggestions for a new faction to try out, complete with house rules which fit the faction? I have found Rome to...
Google? I googled and many guides were for old versions of the game. To add to that, none of the documentation things which come with the game do not work, or funnily in 2018 require goddamned Java...
How do you recruit generals in this mod?
