No, I haven't. I just referred to of how it is in vanilla.
You need to download the Bran Empire AI.rar archive and extract it into the data folder. That's about it then launch ETW, nothing else is required. :)
For those who have the Steam version cannot use a shortcut for the mod due to Steam and here is more information about that.

Do you mean the Roman campaign or do you mean the BI campaign? Which campaign is it?
I don't see that in my game and I've both the retail (Gold Edition and RTW Anthology) and Steam version.

My bad, I forgot to mention one mod.
Not exactly what you described, but I know one mod that does that and that's the Rebel Commander mod which I always use when I play BI.
From what I understand, only CA can fix that since it has to do with a buggy game engine.

I actually have both retail and Steam versions of MTW, STW, and M2TW.

The answer is simple. You cannot buy a non-Steam version and Steam is required otherwise you cannot play neither R2TW or S2TW, including every DLC both games...
This link is working since I could download the mod. Just click on the Download button without installing XandiDisk.
Not sure what you mean here. All mods for RTW cannot be downloaded on Steam due for not having Steam workshop.

I don't think it would affect NTW as it doesn't have a Steam Workshop, but I am not sure how it is with S2TW though.
