    @DaddyPanda there are vampire units in the game still, if you play as Skyrim or either High Rock faction and take Volkihar Castle then you will be able to build special buildings to recruit vampires...

    I think in the game only Lithuania and Norway are able to convert to Christianity, haven't heard about other factions being able to do so

    @Harry, the log file will be in your main Medieval 2 folder, for me that is "F:\Steam Games\steamapps\common\Medieval II Total War"

    Would be cool to have an optional sub mod which added troops from other mods, Stainless Steel has heaps for Russia, Lithuania, Byzantine etc who in vanilla are really lacking

    @jmillz, if you are playing Medieval 2 on Steam then yeah you need to rename the folder to one of the expansions (so change the expansion folders to different names like "teutonic backup" and stuff)

    Crash at end of battles

    Does anyone have a solution to the game crashing when pressing continue at the end of the battle? I can fight any length of battles but usually when I click to return to the campaign map it crashes

    @Atthias, since you last installed a clean copy of Medieval 2 (disc or steam?) have you added or removed any mods? Some mods alter the files in the base game and make other mods unplayable sadly

    The data folder itself, and not sure if it's mentioned but maybe set those files to 'read only' as well?

    @Baron how far does the game get before it crashes? Does it get to the loading screen? Selecting a faction? Or you get an error after clicking the .bat file?

    Personally I would swap Sweden for Kanem since Scandinavia still has Lithuania and Novgorod to invade them, and maybe Makuria for Beduins so we have a faction starting in the Arab Peninsula

    That could also be because of Sicily though, if they expand into Africa and gain borders with Egypt, maybe even go to war early, then Sicily might be the one calling the crusades on them?

    Probably because they seem to call crusades on neighbours who are Pagan or Muslim, and since there is no Crusader States in the middle east anymore they can't call crusades on their Muslim neighbours
