Hi, I missed this!
Historically Macaras is correct, he was not 40ish. But it is was totally intended, and a gamey way to force a historical outcome.
Preferred historical outcome:
Béla the...
I don't think it is a real problem to be honest. Pretty sure 99% of the players are not aware of this...
I mean, can you imagine that someone goes "What the hell, it is already 1400 in game, and...
To be honest it is not a big deal.
1: it is only correct for game start +100 years anyway. And mostly out of fashion from the mid-late 14th century.
2: I think the big majority of hungarians are...
proposed changes in bold!
About validity for 4 centuries: this is nearly impossible to do. Clan names became fashionable in the 12-13th century.
About in the 15th century, families (not clans!)...
In a certain period, some royal family members got names from the Bible, of jewish origin. Late 11th, early 12th century.
Salamon (also became king), Dávid, Saul, etc.
There are quite a few...
Zara is a bit special in history, it always had some kind special status. To be honest it usually went like:
- if Zara was thinking that Venetian tariffs are a bit too much, they allowed Hungary to...
Hello guys, Jurand asked me for a valid Hungary tree, so I dropped by. (like Bettlejuice :D)
Family tree (italics are already dead!):
Géza I (king)
__Kálmán I (king, son of Géza I)
____István...
I think this is just the nature of the modding. Not developed by a big studio, so optimization suffers. (usually, but not always*)
Try the d3d8.dll fix Drtad mentioned, sometimes it works.
...
Try this: go into the mods/ChivalryII folder. When there right click every folder, and remove "read only". WHen asked, also allow removing read only from subfolders.
Worked for me.
The mod is super enjoyable, and much more fun than I first thought. I really like 4zumi's leisure attitude towards the game, "fun first" is very rare among modders. Congrats, this is a real jewel!...
I figured it out. One needs to install the two files from internetwars.ru, and than add the rar file with the fixes. Works like a charm! Thanks a lot for compiling the fixes :)
Even if I wanted to, it would be hard to argue with your points. To be honest I was looking for a streamlined vanilla campaign, which v9 is, so I can only thank you for that one :) Please keep it...
I think it is managable, but since I could not finance a half stack, I decided to use the bodyguards. I know it is an exploit, but the mod is quite hard as is, they are free to hire, don't require...
Hi,
After three test campaigns, I would like to share some observations, hopefully it is useful for you.
I played a short one as Britannia, and two longer (40 turns or so) with Persia and...
Hello midnite, do you know if the latest version is hosted somewhere? The links are in this topic are "something seem to be missing".
Thanks a lot!
Thanks for the reply anyway :)
In the meantime I realized that you are probably the creator of "BI vanilla".
I must say that is an absolute masterpiece, a great expansion of my favorite...
Currently playing a trial Scipii campaign with 1.04. Very good fun, no bugs found. Awesome quality (Pyrrhus was a pleasant surprise).
One question though! I feel that loading the pimped up...
Hi,
I don't know if 4zumi checks these forums, but I try to ask here :)
I installed both total vanilla (works), and bananas (doesn't work). Since the download was a simple drag and drop, I don't...
Based on Saul's let's play, I downloaded the mod, and it seems to be very good. v4.02.
I especially like the not overcrowded map, the income/upkeep ratio, and the revised population mechanics....
Thanks a lot crazyroman!
I did only some very brief spot checks, and saw that culture groups seem to share most units (stuff like celtogermanic cavalry). Do you know if this is intended, or I did...
Hi,
do you know if this mod has an earlier version without colony buildings and trade revision? I prefer more vanilla-ish gameplay, but the other changes of the mod look really good.
Thanks!
I gave it some thought, here is what I could come up with.
Barbarians in general (Dacia, German, Gaul, Briton, Iberian):
- early unit should be the vanilla warband (maybe add a few javelins...
Hi Gigantus, thanks for the tip.
In the meantime I figured it out, it was a windows update issue. Unfortunately the power outage at the same time mislead me, and I started looking for a...
Thanks a lot, you are very helpful as always :)
as a side note: Did you consider a VE "lite" mod? I am thinking of: map, units, Egypt fix, start positions, possibly level 4 buildings, but vanilla culture? Also, do you plan to fix Barbarian...
Hi,
I don't know if anyone encountered this. There was a power outage earlier today.
Later, when I turned on the PC, the total war games (Rome 1 and Medieval 2) have strange blurry screens. It is...
Wrath of the Norsemen 3.2 BETA
disclaimer: there is a submod called Regnum Francorum, which is rather a supplement as I understand. But that didn't work for me, so the latter is valid for the base...

you can find the mod's topic (and the downloads) in the released mods section:...

Thanks a lot Drtad! I know this mod, but didn't have a working copy. I managed to find a version after your review.
Something different!

Just a short feedback. Even though I still had the original three part download on my PC (3.05 + 3.06 patch + historical event quickfix), I was delighted to find Gigantus' installer, so went ahead...
I could not download the text file (mega.nz temporary error), but could download the three others, and the mod works.
Thanks a lot for the help, really appreciate it!
I also realized what I...
Very interesting project, hope it gets released someday!
Actually the two things I really miss from Medieval 2 is a colonization total war, and a de-colonization total war*.
I really like...
Hi,
I found 2 working links for moddb, but unfortunately part 2 doesn't open when I try to extract with 7z. It's a pity that a mod like this gets forgotten :(
Mostly thinking about gameplay!
What I like about Rome 1 (and your mod of course) is that factions have a clearly defined strength and weakness, especially compared to the later games. There is a...
Really appreciate the update, good job! I especially like the map changes :)
I'm not sure about this change though. This hurts the player much less, than the AI.
In one of my favorite...
If you are not confident in installing mods, I think the easiest is:
1: install vanilla M2
2: make a copy of your whole M2 install, and save the original as a backup. (so you have like...
Just tried, and it indeed works.
@sullivanclan1:
1: install into the main M2TW folder. Eg.: c:\user...\games\M2TW (not M2TW/mods, or M2TW/mods/Sicilianvespers.). Do this with all three files....
