I really hope for any alpine unit, like helveti or noricene gaecori. Regional troops are always fun, because they add flavour and value to different provinces.

QS, try opening it in http://www.editpadlite.com/download.html.
They are not long at all. Compared to eb1 or some other mods for mtw2, I think they're quite fast actually. The exception being of course hording turns, but they are really rare.
On my 7 years old...
I have reached 1st reform in 231BC. First I wasn't exactly sure if I needed barcid faction leader or just barcid "Rb mhnt", and if they have to be in spain; however Quintus pointed me in the right...
Thanks for a quick answer! Much appreciated!
Hi guys,
has anyone reached reforms with Carthage? Can someone helps me understand them? According from the images in "Faction goverments and colonies" thread, I need to have some battles with...
A few impressions after I reached turn 105 in my first campaign (Carthage, 2.2a, H/M):
- Money is now really well balanced. The buildings upkeep is great idea and greatly adds to campaign...
:)
Just downloaded and installed. Torrent was well seeded.
Thanks EB team!
For me, the big three -- Carthage, AS and Egypt - were always fun to play because of the size of their empires. You have to make a lot of compromises at start, and think on a more strategic level....
The new song is great.
I love the old EB1 soundtrack. Really some great pieces of music (especially barbarian, semitic and nomad songs). Perfect background when reading on campaign map, or...
It wouldn't. At least not in the open. Perhaps if the other four were peasants who never held even a staff in their hands.
However, dual wielding was taught and used.
As said by others, mostly...
I'm really excited about 2.2 :)
While happy for many new units, it's the the government systems, special traits, text and art (like Kull's latest work on icons) that makes EB(2) special for me. ...

My holidays started today and I finally have some time for some quality moments with our favourite mod's latest release :).
So I started a Getai campaign and it's beautiful so far (30 turn into...
Congratulations and a big thank you!!!
Probably Baktria. Hellenistic roster and interesting local units, nice position with diverse rivals, missions... - they always make for very interesting campaign. And after that probably some celtic...
Update on reaching 100th turn, Makedonia H/M v203a

Actually, the passivity of neighbors is not necessary true in 203a. For example, after...
Minor trait bug:
v2.03a Makedonia H/M
faction heir Alkyoneus has at the same time trait "Sot" (drunk all the times) and "Oligopotes" (rare drinker).
A few thoughts and impressions on 2.03a after 60 turns of H/M playing Makedonia:
Great work on revision of unit costs & upkeep, it seems very sensible and it adds another level of strategy. Now...
 I was wondering in last game why Carthage doesnt have free upkeep, since Dorkim Libi-Ponnim (Liby-Phoenician Infantry) and Numidian Infantry have the free upkeep attribute, but I thought it...
I have a small suggestion regarding units. For a new player or in case of a new campaign with a previously unplayed faction, it's rather confusing to know which units receive a free upkeep in towns....
I wouldn't agree that all mountains end up in need of change. The Himalayas or especially Alps look stunning IMO, with it's extra height & plenty of high peaks. I have put more attention how these...
Same thing here :)
Crete changed owners so many times.. Britain was also invaded and taken over by Arverni - Prittanoi hold only modern London region. Lusitania really likes the modern Normandy....
I've only observed +1 attack bonus / every 3 chevrons. Don't really know how to check the morale stats though.
IMO the RTW way of every chevron giving bonus was better. True, the problem in RTW...
Possible bug in recruitment system:
baktria VH / M, turn 221
When building level 2 "native conscription settlers" in Oskobara, it gives me option to recruit cappadocian cavalry. It seems weird,...
My game as Bactria VH campaign. Changed from CAI 1 to CAI 2 around turn 50. Now at 125th turn:

The game really developed sometime after 75th turn.
While...
True.
However good natural harbours were few, and developing them took time and resources. There were considerable risks involved (pirates, accidents,..) with sea trade. And the problem with MTW2...
I agree, there is considerably more money than in EB1. And I hope it'll be nerfed in later patches :).
Some other thoughts about economy:
- I like the way the importance of sea trade was lowered...
20-40 seconds / turn
2. CAI
phenom II x4965 be
4 gb ram
However because I'm still exploring factions didnt get into late game yet (the longest game was 200th turn). In vannila the times...
I've also seen this bug. I'm playing Aedui (turn ~30) and I've seen the arverni units with silver weapons on the icon.
Not sure if it's a bug:
every 10-20 turns, there's a flood/storm/... event, which is nice. However, it never kills any citizens/soldiers and it'll never damage infrastructure.
I like how the minor settlements strengthen the more developed regions (where they usually are).
However, I personaly like it more as it is (one unit/fort). Since it's free upkeep for any unit,...
Same bug here.
But its not all broken - I've put one of my diplomats in Aria and just annually give the Seleucids 3k mnai through him. 100 turns later, and they leave me alone and we have very...
So basically, for you, the 7 years waiting has been ruined by a bad CAI in the very first, *beta* release? While I partially agree that CAI not at it the best (partially - my Makedonia campaign was...
Well, time for a few words after 7 years of stalking in the shadows and some 6 hours of gameplay so far (started with Boii).
First, I'd like to thank the EB team for this superb experience (I...
