    Re: Looking For A Challenge

I was using CT and AE but now use Scipio's set of realism mods. Both are good options. Scipio's has aspects of AE, is more fleshed out, and has a ton of other interesting effects as well. It's fun...

  4. Re: What are some of the best or some of your favorite AoR units?

It looks like you guys covered the bulk of AoR units so I'll try to mention some that I think are good but haven't been brought up here.

Cappadocian Lancers and Armenian armored horse archers....

  8. Re: [Submod] Alternative Economy (Updated 04.07.18)

I usually don't have enough. Generally, I have to secure some kind of agreement or wait a turn. Or start building the army. But yeah I always enjoyed it. Maybe a little masochistic.

  9. Re: [Submod] Alternative Economy (Updated 04.07.18)

Will this be the new standard for the sub mod going forward?

I enjoy the starting incomes exactly as they are because I enjoy the challenge and how meaningful it makes my decisions.

Hey Dardo, I'm playing with the latest version uploaded and some of my later campaigns, turns 100-120, and I'm looking at over 60k to recruit generals. Before, it was about 10-12k. I understand...

While I'm looking forward to seeing all of these changes and their impact on my current campaigns, this change really stood out to me. Very intrigued to see how this one plays out.

    Thanks for all...

Re: Why no Triarii general for rome?

Historical authenticity aside, it would be just kinda neat for flavor. The historical junkies are of course allowed to not pick it. Assuming it's possible to begin with, I wonder if a sub mod could...

I'm currently using it with the beta and haven't noticed any issues. Can you elaborate on the problem? I may be missing whatever it is.
  18. Sticky: Re: [Feedback] Questions, Critiques and Requests for 1.2

With that view, Rome is cheating like crazy. I think we already know exactly how it would work out as it's just about the only way to guarantee the early empires don't fold every play through. Plus,...
  19. Re: What are some fun tactics and formations I could use to spice up my battles?

I love that the AI utilizes besieging fairly regularly. 5 turns is going to be a lot of ladders and probably more than one ram too. Take some screenshots for us!
  32. Re: Public Beta Test - 1.2.3f - Battle Stat Overhaul, CAI Overhaul and New Traits System (Updated Nov 17)

  40. Re: Historical Gameplay, Campaigns of Pyrrhus (1.2.3f beta)

You can turn off the blur effects in the gemFX configuration menu - I think it's just some check boxes. It should be in the folder: Total War Rome II. It's labeled 'GEMFX_Configurator'.
