EU, but not that often since the heir has other ideas about my spare time
It will be good to have new XC, because playing only WoT can be frustrating at times. Cheers Zarax!
yes i've seen it too
Is it necessary thet the iberian cataphracts be trained in auxiliary barracs, couldn't you make them recruitable in normal barracks but just in Spain?
mm that's nice. will there be improvements on the favorite HA target - the phalanx? i heard that Redfox managed to achieve some success with the cohesion loss
Hanibal 505: the game starts at 280 bc and ends like normal in 14 ad.
So the libyan spearmen and the longshields will stay as aor unit?
Whiskeyjack - it's easy to allow only one faction or group of...
i know they aren't good for much, but then the other option is militia phalangites....
the doriphoroi could be replaced by basic peltasts for example - considering that you can train basic spear units from the palace, the peltasts would be more useful
Sorry i wasn't clear - heavier barb cavalry as AOR unit. not just the light ones like it is now
Dime can i propose some other not so big things for the next version, mainly more AOR units - making the scythian lancers recruitable, some heavier barb cavalry and expanding alittle the thracian...
Balikedes, the new town watch is a phalanx unit now but with short pikes, i guess that's what Zarax means.
I too installed the new version and wonder what campaign to start, i guess that my beloved...
Dime it might be intentional, but the greek slingers have AP attack as secondary atribute. this means that their knives actualy are ap and not the slingshots? or i'm wrong?
you should tell this to Ponthos - in almost every greek campaign they send armies to Mytilene, i guess the summer on greek islads is nice...
otherwise these two islands indeed make insane trade
some mid-level AOR Caucassian infantry and afghans sounds to me more ok for somewhat capable infantry for the easterners with good attack and low defence, like the regular swordsmen
i like this, pass on the horse milk
but the dacians never came south of Danube for long... the Odrissians managed from time to time to consolidate parts of the eastern balkans and that's why i would preffer for them to stay. The...
Ok than, but i still think that even with script it should be triggered when let's say all of Gaul is conqered, you can add some other provinces to represent generals loyal to this particular family...
Don't you dare touching my thracians!!! They'll come with wine and romphaias to avenge! maybe not a bad idea is to make new daco-something faction that is alittle to the west - Sarmizegetuza,...
Is there an option to triger some unrest when a group of provinces are captured? for example if you conquer all of Spain, the Balkans etc... it probably could be done withouth manualy activating...
Vacations could be almost a nuisance when a new mod is out, but just almost :)
Will try the other way to download in two weeks
No problem Dime, we still love you ;) Carthage looks much more interesting now. At least i wont wander what i've missed while away :D
Thank you, i've read the OP, but some time ago you said that your files override some of the vanila RTW files, so i decided to ask to be sure. BTW for some reason the download was corrupted, but i'm...
Good work mate! just a question - does it overwrite XGM or vanilla RTW files? to know where to install it..
Nice! I was hoping for more aor units and other changes, but this will be more than enough before going away...
Then maybe a possible option is to make mercenary or AOR macedonian style phalanx - but with high cost /upkeep and 2 turns to train so that the AI could not abuse it. like the hoplites are now - i...
I thought that it was for large, as most ss show people that setting. Atleast i'm using it because on huge it gets really messy with pathfinding and cohesion. normal it too RTS for my taste ...
Cool! Don't forget to liberate my town of Sardika. It's not funny to live the life of a rebel.... Heh the russians, the guys that are not quite my ancestors drank the wine unwatered. and all women...
I think it's not possible without reworking of the campaign map. Might be mistaken though. Think of them as blocade runners
more aor units are always good
I had something simmilar in my roman campaign. Captured the balearic islands and the population of Bochoris was just over 400 citizens. They weren't quite happy and revolted twice. First time it was...
The thracians are usualy depicted with their clothes on unlike the greeks. this is both on freek and thracian pictures, vases and so on. Lots of cloaks and caps....
q3 - sanskrit?
well with more than a thousand posts i've aquired some skill :) not that my boss would be thrilled to find out. But i'm at home already and can dive in RTW
try the TGA folder in your main RTW directory. and welcome back
@Redfox - i was talking about the winters when the thracians weren't even arround in my childhood :D Still they could warm themselves with unwatered wine.
I'm still against removing Thrace...
@Ferrus right now its closing to 40 degrees Celsius here "up north" so i wouldn't mibd to go to work half naked :) The winters used to be quite cold though...
As for the color - the painting on some...
Go for Iberia - along with Thrace they are the best mix of barbarism and civilisation. plus you get the bull dudes with 2 hitpoints :rambo:
Welcome back my young Apprentice :) I was wondering have you turned to the light with your absence here and on MSN
I've just started with Thrace on H/M and it's very interesting.... the balkan wars BC are at full swing. Not going to try to write since i barely have time to play. Pontus looks very promising too -...
