hm well a rome 2 would be cool but like Sir Dinadan said it would be a waste of mods like rtr and eb, if ca creates r2tw then eb1's and rtr's final versions wouldnt be needed and they wouldnt get to...
well I wouldnt call m2tw vanilla a succes and a lot of people probably agree with me on that but the tw games can be modded a lot so theyre worth it for me.
Look Im not saying that the intro video is bad infact I wouldnt mind if this one would be in the game but heres a suggestion: U said that name had a german accent right? Maybe u could let him do the...
yeah Oblivion aint good rpg wise but it got an awesome AI and good graphics.
but back to the point, vanilla rtw was already worth the money for me and with mods it became even better, but maybe it...
yeah I can strongly recommend EB for rtw, imo it is better than m2tw is now even with mods (no offence to the modders)
and the byzantines will have flamethrowers in kingdoms
I've never seeen this before, have u gave them (saba) military acces? Also how did u managed to play this long without getting bored?
odd, my game always crashed whenever I tried to repair them.
their economy is pretty good but u need to spend so much into construction with them (and recruitment when u get triple-teamed by hungary, venice and the turks).
Venetian heavy infantry is the strongest infantry unit now I think.
yeah but did so many troops actually used them? after all eb goes about realism and thats what I meant to ask.
I'd migrate if I were u, I had the same with the Romani and the swebos who teamed up against me (both of them were superpowers). So I just moved away and after a while they were killing each other.
I find javelins effective even when I play on H/H (which I did), but ain't it very unrealistic that just about every unit in the game can throw javelins?
heres a link to wikipedia:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_d%27Albret, it goes about the general who was leading the French and u can clearly read that he was shot in his breastplate, which was...
use artillery next time, sorry but dont know an option for this battle, maybe u can use your longbowmen to take out the elephants
yeah the crappy rtw recruitment system has been fixed well in m2tw but the EB team was smart enough to give all cavalry units (except elephants) and infantry units a 1 turn recruitment
Well one the French generals was killed by an arrow and I guess that he wore some strong armour
yes well it wouldnt be the perfect solution, but u could recruit a crisis army for example.
dont u get crushed by the cavalry then?
that battle is easy, just put three units at the rear to defend the others against the cavalry attack and then your done.
Yeah taking out their general first works always
I wouldnt know, but all I know is that for example 8k vs 8k soldiers was a normal thing in there, but you'll probably need a good pc for that. It's great that it got a lot of soldiers in it but eb is...
So which factions will then have reforms next to Carthage? and will Carthage also get a senate?
if u want to play big battles, I suggest u to play the SPQR mod, havent played it myself but heard that u can play huge battles in it
Yeah I had an idea a lil time ago for if u want to recruit an army quickly. U should be able to recruit only 1 soldier of a type of an unit and when u need an army u could just retrain all those 1...
what does hudud means?
Yes, but try this with a weaker faction, believe me u just need to be patient with strong factions like Macedonia but the economies with smaller ones are nearly impossible.
Well actually u could keep public order ok with it (not such a big exploit), but u could also increase all the cities' level by moving peasants into it and then disbanding them and after u upgraded...
hey on my next campaign I want to play a celtic faction I've tried out Casse but they just suck in the begin (start way to weak), now the Averni and Aedui start with more regions, more units and...
yes they've changed it because in rtw u could transfer your whole population from one city to an other, which is an exploit
I think it is, but u will lose a lot of EB features
about 2 minutes after a while, the other factions' turns take longer every time
it still takes some time with my 1,5GB
well does anyone knows which tw game sold best?
I never played Shogun and after watching a documantery that went about the unition of China (Qin, like crusader invasion said) I wanted a remake of Shogun. Shogun had a 2d campaign map right? A lot...
2vs2 is nearly impossible with the crappy AI in rtw and in my Epeiros campaign me and the KH got Macidonia out of Greece within 10 turns and 15 turns later the kh were gone to, so it's a bit to easy...
yeah there are places on the map where u can watch other factions have very interesting fights in the first 100 turns like u said on greece and in the middle east
They got nice units but whatever u do your economy will always be bad, in the first turn u lose about 4000 cash and that isnt even because of a navy, because u dont start with one
did u install 1.2 over 1.1? If so, when I did that I kept crashing as well whenever I tried to do a battle myself.
