    Good explanation, that all makes sense of what I'm seeing in the game. I tend to get into role playing mode and forget that there is a Highlander - "there can be only one" - factor going on.

    Either I did not successfully download the latest files, or the custom portraits aren't there. Just curious, mainly because I want to play test the latest.

    Character portraits for pasting. I found that they work without messing with the background, at least during the time I tested them, and I like the fade to black in the corners format.

    I think the focus on beard = age is the problem here. As I mentioned before, I see Cirdan's beard as more denoting his gifts of extreme wisdom and foresight, stated to be beyond that of most (or all)...

    In terms of game play I also figured it's nice to have him readily identifiable with the beard - otherwise he's just another pretty boy elf face.
