I have played since Shogun 1, and would say I am mainly an historical buff.
I play Warhammer mainly for the big battles and mix of units. It is interesting to see the world they have created. I am...
Sounds like there is hope, Warhammer is funding our future Historical games.
I say this with some ignorance I must confess, but isn't it likely that at this point in Warhammer's advanced...
It will be good if the AI can make all the best units, even if there is some scripting, because one should have to face the best units/creatures to make the game more tense and fruity, but balance is...
Yep, just a better look, excellent colours on it, if your a modeler then to see such creations in a game is a pleasant treat.
No idea if those animations will find there way into the game though.

Could this be the nastiest monster in the game?
Sounds about right to me, not surprising when you consider the scale of the Warhammer world. What with a company that wants to sell, and a fan base that wants to buy.
I am happy for CA because if...
I don't know about everyone else but I find Norsca hard to get excited about, particularly after playing Chaos. I don't remember anyone in tabletop playing Norsca.
If I don't buy it then I think...
I think that this type of trailer gets people in the mood for a faction that is of particular interest to them, a faction they have always wanted to play.
You have to understand that although the...
To some degree I can see your point. My own mind set is it isn't a lot of money and there will be enough that's new and fun to make Warhammer II playable for some time.
It's too easy to take for...
I prefer the no morale mod, unrealistic yes, but I prefer battles to be more aggressive and less tedi-arse, a proper wholesome slaughter is to be had!
They have a lot of settlements, also I don't know if CA have scripted them to be a nuisance/make it more lively?
Yep, General Sultan V has the right of it, get over to their turf and desolate the place.
Agreed, I just want to know the period setting!
Yep I liked it, best expansion they ever did imho, four very different feeling campaigns, each with their immersion.
I was also thinking of this period, the Hittites sound interesting, but the troop types of the various nations I think may be a little dull?
The problem for me is that I already feel I have castles and knights in Warhammer, something a little fresh wouldn't go amiss with me.
I have the same problems, with some battles having horrible lag, was fine before.
What do you think this means;Historical Team – Unannounced Total War Title
Pre-production for our next historical major release continues apace, with the team working on pretty much all areas of the...
Not sure I want a 3rd Medieval or Rome.
Something fresh/different, WW1 maybe, if they could possibly do it well that is.
Yes agreed Pasan, although not sure Wood Elves are quite what I am waiting for, High and Dark sound Fun, so do the Tomb Kings, also a bigger map. Do I presume correctly that the 2 main Elven factions...
Paradamed, thanks for clearing that one up.
Several of us have, and I didn't mind it, but if possible I would prefer one large map when all 3 of the Warhammer games are released.
I'm fairly certain it will be one large open map if you buy all 3 stand alone games, the way empire was would be horribly crude for this new game.
This was my thought, their more expensive and yet normal troops with chevs are basically as good.
Thanks for the replies gentlemen. Think I'll look up that mod that turns off the possibility of...
Greetings, 2 questions if I may be so bold,
1. Has any one had very severe slow down in a large multi stack battle that they didn't have before the DLC?
2. The special famous units in my VC...
I have had a 6 army battle with the larger unit size mod(still limited to 200 though) and that seemed epic to me, my 2 against 4 Chaos and the my 2 against 3.5 Greenskins, seemed very epic to me and...
I am trying to figure out the difference between the Corpse Cart and the Mortis Engine, their quite similar? I mean you wouldn't have both in your army would you?
Are the AI agents attacking buildings, ie certain military ones and the AI being slow to rebuild? only asking because I have the passive agent mod.
How far do you have to get into a campaign before...
The same one as you, played at least 70hrs since the Beastmen, faced the Greenskins etc, either I have not played in enough? or could you have a possible mod conflict?
I have only seen very good AI...
I have a recruitment mod and have not seen any poor army compositions yet, hopefully I won't because an army of artillery reminds me of one of their Medieval games that did this.
Could your...
I have 2 camera mods, battle and campaign, both work with the Beastmen, so there is one that works for you if you take the trouble. At times I have noticed that mods have to be loaded in a certain...
There may be a mod for this, I used one for my Grimgor campaign that stopped the Shamans hurting their hips from their dancing every 20 turns or so, CA need to make these events much more rare.
Yep I can vouch for them too. Just had a very tough battle against 4 Empire armies playing on double unit sizes with no morale mod, better AI army composition mod, Beastmen can recruit Wyverns mod,...
Let me know if I am right regarding Beastmen need a new campaign to show up, I was presuming that one.
Why are your initial campaigns now a bit pointless, if you were enjoying them why not...
I agree rogergargantua, I could add that does any game have replayability once you beat it on very hard? Upgrading different lords/heroes/starting positions/new factions added all help. Plus each...
Been reading up a little on Nagash, he has been around along time if you are happy to include all of GW's work on him.
He always seems to reappear even if you burn him over a warpstone fire and it...
The Beastmen are only there for the AI if you don't buy the DLC. So any faction in a new campaign will be fighting them regardless of whether you bought the DLC or not.
I like them, a simple to play...
Glad your having immersive fun Vampiresbane. With the all so different faction types there is something for most players.
Quite a few players have mentioned it's a long time in Totalwar when they...
