It is the revolt ctd. Try to stop the revolt from happening and you should be able to avoid it.

There is an iudean zelot unit that only appears when the city/province rebels. I think there was a problem with a resourse in RTR 6 Gold that prevented this unit from appearing, but we`ve corrected...

I got problems everytime I tried to edit the date. It messed it up(the date display I mean). Changing the date is the big issue here actually. From what you say you only changed the difficulty.
