  2. Re: Definitive explanation for armor upgrades in EBII?

Google says no. The only "hidden" bonus is the +1 morale each chevron gives. You can't see morale bonuses, so maybe that counts.

  5. Re: Definitive explanation for armor upgrades in EBII?

Fun fact: if theory #2 is true, then based on this theorized upgrade table

    Lvl 0 = Flesh, 0 defense
    Lvl 1 = Leather/Padded, 4 defense
    Lvl 2 = Light Mail/Chain, 6 defense
    Lvl 3 = Heavy...

    Re: Foriegn colony nerfed?

Unfortunately we can't have both. Either we get quicker access to level 3 but the units are meh, or we get excellent and diverse recruitment but the upgrades take time. 2.35a's top-tier troops...
  8. Definitive explanation for armor upgrades in EBII?

I've researched this topic a lot and there seems to be 4 schools of thought on how armor upgrades work in M2TW and by extension EBII

    1. Each upgrade adds 2.5 armor (EBII "official" answer)
    2....

Yep, the Baleares Isles can no longer upgrade to level 3 Foreign Military Colonies, despite the browser showing excellent recruitment at that level. Sad that the Carthaginian player won't be able to...
  10. Re: Make AI resist you more violently with easy tweaks project

  11. [Please contribute to this] All AI naval invasion routes as of 2.35a R3.5

We've all probably scratched our heads at one point wondering why the AI would refuse to launch an obvious naval invasion on one front, and yet pour counterintuitive invasions on another. Its...

Re: Rad compares units - a thread for balancing.

Late Libyan Spearmen should have their armor buffed from 5 to 6. Visually, their armor is identical to that of Libyan Swordsmen. All linothorax, all helmets. I also suggest giving them the same armor...

    Re: EBII Minus

Well, since R4 may take a while to release, and these changes are pretty trivial for any EBII player to make (make sure you backup EDU, EDB, and campaign_script.txt first!), I'll leave this post as a...

Re: Rad compares units - a thread for balancing.

Sardinian Infantry (shield value of 3) have larger shields than Peltastai Makedones (shield value of 4), yet have a lower shield value. The Sardinians should have their shield value buffed to 4.

  16. Re: Tentative "fix" for slinger friendly fire

Well, to be honest, if your battle strategy is routing the enemy ASAP, then long-range missile troops aren't appropriate. Field armies that are meant for defeating other field armies thus won't need...

  18. Tentative "fix" for slinger friendly fire
