    It also doesn't help that the bloody javelins are AP. (And thanks for them to get "stuck" in their animation, their range can be rather long)

    Yes, they do differ, but for some nations, the difference is quite small, between the colors (First link, Harad and Harondor in example)

    I've noticed that, thanks to the colours, it's really hard (for me) to see the "arrows" on the minimap, in battles, they blend really well with some of the ground types.

    Single click usually makes it a run attack and ctrl click makes it a walk attack (Strange decision, but I've gotten used to it)

    This is a double edged sword for me, as above said, in force march it goes. (kinda also in fortifying mode (you got to hold the fort)) , but mostly, it is horrible.

    No, I do not think the battle tempo is too fast. It could be a bit slower, but not anything what Medieval 2 and mods for it had (hated that game because of the 30 min battles)
