    I've deleted the shields. The unit has shields on their backs but I'm not sure if they're visible in-game.

    That doesn't sound like third age 3.2. You're probably playing a submod like Leo's 4.0 mod or Divide and Conquer. Ask in the moddb page where you downloaded the mod.

    No. You need to make your changes to the animation files inside your Medieval II Total War\mods\teutonic\data\animations folder.

    Are you using milkshape 1.8.5? You need to use 1.8.4.

    I think IWTE works with 1.8.5 but I haven't tested it.

    If you have the tower faces selected you can go to the texture editor and just edit the uv coordinates of those faces. It's really not that complicated.

    Blender is not very newbie friendly. Just google a registration code for milkshape 1.8.4, it should be fairly easy to find.

    I think it's a problem with the mesh. I think I fixed it let me know if it looks good now. I only applied the fix to one shield and lod0. You can duplicate and move the uvs to make use of the shield...

    I moved an army there and took the settlement without any issues. I can only hazard a guess that there is a problem with your installation. If anyone else can check I would appreciate it.
