When I try to open "startpos.esf" using PFM, I get this error message:
"system.exception: unknown header type ??"
Can anyone advise?
This is 2000 years before Adam Smith.
I want whichever group the Odrysian Kingdom belongs to. They have an interesting start position, and when it came time for me to take the Bosporus their heavy infantry put up a good fight.
They're pretty awesome at defending your shores, but I've never needed them on offense. If you have hoplites or triarii they can usually torch the gate without taking many casualties.
You memorize them by sight eventually. The bigger problem is that the number of men in the unit isn't shown on the card, and that vital info (energy level for example) are only accessible by hovering...
What power supply does your computer use?
They haven't fixed anything yet. All patch 2 has done for me is ruin the battle framerate. The CAI is as passive as ever, with the exception of desert nomads who wipe out Egypt and Carthage by turn...
Can you get rid of the indistinguishable unit and building cards? They were easier to memorize in Rome 1. Settlement info was also a lot easier to understand and it was easier to maintain order when...
On "dry" weather, battle map terrains tend to oversaturate, at least on my computer. It certainly makes the game look more cartoonish than Shogun 2.
I can't be the only player sick of the balancing act between food and squalor: develop your settlement and lose public order, but suspend taxes in a food-generating province and you may have a...
So far in my Epirus campaign I haven't had to build any siege equipment. In the time it takes my bodyguard hoplites to torch the gate, enemy towers/archers/peltasts never kill more than 10. If the AI...
Epirus. After taking Greece and Italy, everyone wants to be my ally. It's hard to decide what direction to expand in.
1. Battle speed and the collision system (why don't units keep formation?)
2. City management: it's hard to respond to problems like public order and the UI is anything but intuitive
3. The...
Of course every game needs to install Direct X
For me it keeps jumping between 10 minutes and 8 hours. Why is it that this couldn't be part of the preloading process?
We haven't had a real family tree since MII (the one in Shogun reset every time you got a new daimyo, so in my eyes that doesn't count).Unfortunate that it hasn't been reintroduced, but unsurprising...
I think the game has a hair over 170 settlements. If memory serves, that's slightly more than Empire, which previously had the most. I don't know how much sense that makes as Suebi from an immersion...
My thoughts exactly. Most of the reviewers' criticisms shouldn't bother series fans, with the exception of this one:"It’s also an arbitrary roadblock, as it gates the number of armies you can control...
Epirus. It was my favorite faction in EB.
Have you played Empire/Napoleon/Shogun 2? If so you'll remember that models turn to poorly detailed and highly aliased sprites once you've zoomed out to a certain distance. That distance was too...
