Those hats seem a bit close to ashigaru helmets. Maybe if they're less pointy?
The sandogasa would be a more iconic ronin/poor samurai "helmet"
Still, nice unit. I think that's the only...

Are you creating all these assets from scratch? Maybe if you grab some assets from the Imjin War mod (with permission) it might help with taking some workload off
The patch3 download https://www.moddb.com/mods/submod-for-kgcm-502/downloads/patch32
Creates that heavy archer error I posted a last page I think
It works fine until I patch with "patch3" on moddb
For some reason patching the submod with the downloads actually causes the mod to be unable to be booted up. Pretty sure I'm following my instructions. I'll try again a few more times. The...
I hope he didn't get too affected by the COVID pandemic....
Might be better to post this question in the tutorial section of TWC. Gigantus usually is able to answer.
The Goguryeo addition is a surprise, but a welcome one for sure. Will there be any updates to the basic troop models in the future to put them more in line with the 3K era?

A SHAMEFUR DISPRAY!
I've been having the good ol' Hoplitai carry me through my playthrough at the moment
Like their human counterparts they're a bit of a one trick pony but in a prolonged fight they usually come out on...
Stumbled upon some more Goryeo stuff, both pre-Mongol and intra-Mongol

Looks like it gave part of the original models.db file. But it didn't give the whole text...
You might be venturing into something dangerous. Be careful!
Sigh, looks like the "devs"...
.
That's probably the reason.
I doubt we'll be able to reconstruct the battle_models.db file.
Hmm weird...
I don't recall that this particular mod needed a specific separate animations set download which for whatever reason is usually unpacked into the main M2 data folder.....
I previously held back from posting the link to the final version of the mod because I didn't want to burn a bridge with the mod team. During that time I had an account (and still do) with Wanmod...
Hi all, I want to give an update on the dismal state of things with the mod.
So the "17th Century Mod" team is essentially dead. The issue is that their mods are always "locked" behind a homemade...
Attempted to play with the Dai Viet roster; crashes.

If only. MetalPigeon is working on a really good submod of Falcom and he can really use the AUH assets
Hey, I think this defunct (and locked) mod might have the AUH assets for Dai Viet

Those Japanese units look pretty damn amazing.
I think after you pick what units you want to port over then let me know and I will do the pinyin names for you
Here I have a locked version of the mod uploaded: http://www.mediafire.com/file/961jqfblv6l86tv/WANMOD_Asia_Empires.7z/file
To figure what's what use this as my unit guide: ...
So I got in touch with the guy who has that version of Asia Empires; he said he'll be releasing a "final" (and free, unlocked) version of that mod because he's stopped working on it. If he does...
I'll help pinyin names when I can or as you put out units.
I also have a link to a download of a locked copy of Asia Empires that has the newest stuff but unfortunately I don't have an...
Are you looking for advice on naming the units by pinyin so Sword + Shield = Daopaishou?
Spears would be "qiang", and pikes would be "chang qiang" , literally "long spears"
For the planned Ming...
I would recommend you speak to againster for permission. He's active on these forums.
That helmet looks like the Edo period pre-FoTS ashigaru helmet which would fit into the late era
Also didn't know you could speak Vietnamese. Cool! (I speak Chinese).
Asia Empires is also...
Looking good; nice work.
I also like giving the ashigaru kabuto helmets. It's what I did with my Shogun 2 mod back in the day when I used to know how to mod haha.

Are genin meant to represent a unit from the Genpei era?
Maybe call them Naginata Attendants instead.
Fire Rocketeers you can callBo-Hiya.
The general's bodyguard you can call Hatamoto.
I think if you're thinking of dividing Japanese units into AOR you can maybe give it to areas of Japan that have a colder/wetter climate?
Edit: With the amount of randomization you can do with...

It's already out and English translation that depends on whether someone will work on one. I'm just too busy
For the time being I think the names are okay but I will do some further research to see if there are more period-appropriate names.
The Korean warrior monk concept might be more towards the...
I think regional units like those are best used as AOR. Factions/kingdoms too insignificant to be playable but important enough to warrant a unit or two or three (ex: Tibet)
Understandably ...
A thank you to some of the forumers who have tried to fix things.
Version 4.2 is out; it was surprising to see a free version with the most updated content. It is also likely to be the last...
Also for convenience's sake I'll place Goryeo-era material here so you don't have to bounce back and forth between here and AUH
And if you were looking for Goryeo unit names:
