Thanks a bunch!

anyone know which file you'd modify, and if it would be savegame compatible?
oh, that did it, thanks!
bumping an old thread - anyone know what the current faction names are? I'm trying to give money to the greeks, and not having any luck. Below is what I've tried, only to see "err: faction type not...
So it's working as intended that basically all governors end up with Gourmand (or Glutton)? If not, how do I avoid this? What's the threshold for treasury balance to prevent this? I swear mine was...
253 turns into my Romani campaign, and about half of my FM's (perhaps more) have the "Gourmand" trait, even though I try to keep my treasury low. Anyone else have this issue? It's pretty annoying,...
Just in case you haven't seen this, this old guide is still pretty useful
http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?694830-List-of-console-faction-names
Looks like FM's who are in a battle don't get credit for participating (they stay "Green" even after being in a few battles) - this was working in 2.3. Can anyone else confirm that it's broken? Or...
I second this
I've tested this and it works for 2.35 without copying the descr_sm_factions
I'm doing what I usually do, which is play as the Romans following a fairly historical conquest timeline.
Thanks guys for all your hard work!
I almost exclusively play as Rome, and I've found these threads incredibly useful. Read through them a bit if you're looking to up your Roman game.
[EB AAR] Quintus Sertorius' Guide to Conduct...
Oh cool, good to know. I hadn't gotten beyond the first few turns with that playthrough
Dude this is great! I just need to play more to see how it progresses.
In a previous answer, I believe it was Quintus said that the game has no way of limiting promotions - there's no "counter" for traits that would prevent more than two consuls.
My solution to this...
What I've been doing lately is having all of those FM's in their 20's sit in a Praetorian army that deals with rebels etc. on the Italian peninsula, with a Praetor or Propraetor as lead, and roughly...
Oh my, this looks AWESOME. Can't wait to try it out!
Thanks for updating the OP, Quintus. I'll report back if it still doesn't work
It's a very interesting idea, it would be very cool if it was somehow implemented
Ah, that makes sense! I may have auto-calc'ed a few of the battles in cisalpine gaul. Thanks for clearing that up!
EDIT: That's not reflected in the OP. Can you update it to clear it up? Says it's...
Oh whoops, I meant by 100.
In previous campaigns in various 2.2 versions and prior, I'd had no problems getting reforms to trigger earlier.
So far in this current campaign I haven't taken all...
Anyone having issues with the Polybian reform? I'm running the second 2.3 campaign where I know I've fought enough battles to qualify for the reforms by turn 100* (one of my generals fighting in...
Just want to say thanks for your efforts!
Roma Victrix!
Just want to say I love the robust discussion and attention to detail that most of us players wouldn't figure out on our own.
One of the many reasons why this is the only Total War game for me.
I always use
add_money f_carthage, 1000
pretty sure that comma is necessary. no quotes
It's not just him! Your submod is fantastic. The sounds are still loud but theyre a lot more localized to the units, as opposed to drowning out everything else on the battleground
Yeah, once you've chosen all the terms you'd like, hit the "?" on the top right corner of the diplomacy window, then the AI will accept whatever you want.
In terms of roleplay, I try to not rely...
Just wanted to pass these guides along; I too roleplay my Romani campaigns, and refer to these all the time.
[EB AAR] Quintus Sertorius' Guide to Conduct Becoming of a True Roman (Redux for EB) -...
Adding my thanks here. EBII is an amazing mod - I don't see myself leaving it for any other iteration of Total War (except for maybe EBIII...)
Question about recruiting in towns with temples of Battle. Sometimes when recruiting units in towns with that perk of +1 experience to infantry, like in Rome itself when recruiting Hastati or...
I've never played a multiplayer battle in EB/EB2, for no good reason.

Aren't they pretty close to the max number of settlements? I recall that being a thing, so maybe it's just that there's not enough possible settlements to give one or two to the strategically less...
So, does that mean that guard mode does not have an effect on unit cohesion? I've always played with everything on defensive so my troops stay in formation and don't blob out everywhere.
In the thread, the dude said he had plans to do Italy, the Balkans, and Asia Minor next
Came across this hand-drawn map on reddit, drawn by /u/ironandredwoods. There's a lot of detail--it's interesting to see how it compares to the EB2 world map.

I assume this isn't savegame compatible...
Yeah, I'd also love to see which changes came with/come with each update.
