  1. Re: General discussion (use of already implemented functions, etc.)

Thissss this will make a few things far more interesting.... whole armies of mounted units that dismount before a siege or ambush in the woods.
  2. Sticky: Re: Discussion of plans for the development of the project and the implementation of things already selected for entering the game.

Mmm... wondering if you could use an script and this wonderful tool to "upgrade" a town right after orcs conquer it, only the upgrade has a huge negative population bonus and so on... thanks for the...
  3. Re: General discussion (use of already implemented functions, etc.)

Like a replay a battle from the campaign?
  4. Sticky: Re: What do you think is missing in MTW2? Here we make update plans.

Yes, but it would be far better to have something like the ransom screen were you can have multiple choices without recurring to hotkeys or the advisor, it would be easier for everyone using any mod....
  5. Re: General discussion (use of already implemented functions, etc.)

Exactly, make the game match your native screen resolution and you shall not have black stripes anymore.
  6. Sticky: Re: Discussion of plans for the development of the project and the implementation of things already selected for entering the game.

Now I have more questions, could it be possible to make settlements custom while taken over by other faction, like an empire town conquered by orks having ruined buildings and orks banners in the...
  7. Sticky: Re: What do you think is missing in MTW2? Here we make update plans.

Yes, I was thinking this could help in mods like the Holly Roman Empire one or Warhammer mods were serveral factions are united under a character of one of those factions. Hence why a defining trait...
  8. Sticky: Re: Discussion of plans for the development of the project and the implementation of things already selected for entering the game.

I think Leo is talking about cultures.

I thibk cultures dictated settlement both in stregic and tactical map buy I migth be wrong from what Leo says.
  9. Sticky: Re: What do you think is missing in MTW2? Here we make update plans.

His submod is pretty popular and still in active development, I'm sure doing that would give you better coverage.

LARGE EDIT: I had an crazy overcomplicated idea of how could the computer decide...
  10. Sticky: Re: Discussion of plans for the development of the project and the implementation of things already selected for entering the game.

Oh I see, I knew you said that about units, building, region and factions limits, didn't recall it on cultures. Thanks for the answer, anyway maybe some day it will be possible. In the meanwhile huge...
  11. Re: General discussion (use of already implemented functions, etc.)

It's in fact interesting if you could manually choose to have a female heir and have it appear as a female general on the map or it would be too troublesome.
  12. Sticky: Re: Discussion of plans for the development of the project and the implementation of things already selected for entering the game.

No, he raised religion limit, not culture. Having more cultures would allow in example for each faction on mods to have unique portraits (and I think start models) for all their characters (generals,...
  13. Sticky: Re: Discussion of plans for the development of the project and the implementation of things already selected for entering the game.

How difficult would be to raise the culture limit? It's something akin to religion or is harder?
  14. Sticky: Re: Discussion of plans for the development of the project and the implementation of things already selected for entering the game.

Could you give me the link? Ill use goolge translator.
  15. Re: General discussion (use of already implemented functions, etc.)

You'll be surprise to know how many companies run their critical stuff on outdated OS. XP isnt even the worst ofender. Not every place has the funds or organization and lawness of the wealthy side of...
  16. Sticky: Re: What do you think is missing in MTW2? Here we make update plans.

Obviously a trait would be required for each voter.
I would say the main trait to look for in the possible candidates should be either terror or chivalry.
First the contenders should be selected,...
  17. Re: General discussion (use of already implemented functions, etc.)

No to be hateful but windows xp compatibility is probably a pretty low priority.
  18. Re: General discussion (use of already implemented functions, etc.)

You can use comic sans if you want. (but please don't)
  19. Re: General discussion (use of already implemented functions, etc.)

Aw cmon it's a bit unfair, to me it's the most glorious and beautiful thing in modding in a long time, besides he's going to make customization possible as far as can be done, which is simply a bonus!
  20. Sticky: Re: What do you think is missing in MTW2? Here we make update plans.

  22. Sticky: Re: Total War Saga: TROY announced! - general discussion

It was in Empire Earth greek campaign if I recall correctly.
  23. Sticky: Re: What do you think is missing in MTW2? Here we make update plans.

Not quite so, it makes an election among several generals with a certain trait (elector counts) and the winner get's the trait Emperor.
  24. Sticky: Re: What do you think is missing in MTW2? Here we make update plans.

Excellent, thanks! I already was pointed to a mod that made the election thing for generals. Not quite like the papal election but it does works. However it relies on the advisor button which kinda...
  25. Re: General discussion (use of already implemented functions, etc.)

Would it be possible to do one like the Cardinal College but that only show generals of your own faction with certain trait or ancillary? I know this might be advanced or beyond what you are...

  28. Sticky: Re: What do you think is missing in MTW2? Here we make update plans.

  29. Sticky: Re: Total War Saga: TROY announced! (trailer, screens & campaign map video)

    Livers for the hepatic table?
  34. Re: General discussion (use of already implemented functions, etc.)

Leo have you tried the tool yet? If you ever manage to implement it on your submod it would be awesome. Being as popular as it is woulf give the tool a good spread of popularity too.
  35. Sticky: Re: What do you think is missing in MTW2? Here we make update plans.

OK, cool! Can't wait about your need updates. Finally applied this to a submod of mine, well, for personal use only so far. A single new religion for now. Testing battles here and building temples...
  36. Sticky: Re: What do you think is missing in MTW2? Here we make update plans.

Ok, so steam doesn't ban you for using what it would technically seem like a trainer or anything like that?
  37. Sticky: Re: Using the available functions of the M2TW Engine Overhaul Project (share experience in this program)

I have a recommendation, could you make a list of all the functions you have with the tool on the first post here, just a list so people can use it like an index. After tutorials and examples for...
  38. Sticky: Re: What do you think is missing in MTW2? Here we make update plans.

A question, how does using this tool affects multiplayer? Specifically Steam multiplayer? Would it be recognized as a trainer and shut down or something?
  39. Sticky: Re: What do you think is missing in MTW2? Here we make update plans.

Oh that's good! I didn't realized that was what you were saying until reread now. Well that's an option already sure!
  40. Sticky: Re: What do you think is missing in MTW2? Here we make update plans.

It would work even better if we could control the requirements, making a town rebel without need of further workarounds would be better.
