    The game can only use 2GB RAM, 4GB if you apply the Large Address Awareness setting. And it only uses the first core of the processor. It's a 32bit game....

    Random plague is defined in the descr_disasters file in the maps\base directory. To totally eliminate the plague simply comment out the section, same as was done with 'flood'.

    There is an issue with the numerical sequence of quotes that can lead to a crash when a loading screen is starting up, eg after a battle.
