    I tried adding lines and switching in mesh/texture combos I know work into the dragon_standard thing, and adding that to more units... it didn't turn up

    have tried various other edits in EDU...

    I just checked to see which line controls the plaza whatever you put in the section after main_infantry e.g.

    <Banner Name="main_infantry" ....... BuildingMesh="******"

    will turn up...

    Does having only surnames in descr_names work? I've only tried with first names. Though if you needed to keep first names I suppose you could just have '.'

    You could do factions with first name only, and add 'surname' at the front with trait epithet (and make the trait conditions inherited) - that would depend on not needing the epithet for anything...

    There is now a wiki page about battle-map banners.

    IWTE latest version has a .mesh to Blender via Collada* function for the banners, which also allows adjustment to the flappiness of components...

    I realised slightly belatedly that the descr_banners_new.xml file has



    swapping that to one of the mini flags does change the flag in the plaza - so you could change it to something invisible...

    The EDB port trees seem to be hard-coded to link to the building of the port models on the strat map, so if your "wharf" is actually the port line internally that will be what triggers the visual...

    The town you sent works in Bare-Geomod - but the town you sent isn't the one in your picture... there isn't a gate that's set back behind a left hand turn in the wall!

    RE sm_factions - my issue was I'd changed the order of the factions - acquired an unexplained crash after 4/5 turns of new campaign - which eventually (after the usual mod re-build + swearing at M2...
