[Tutorials] Re: Adding in NEW FACTIONS to Rome Remastered

To avoid crashes during battles run the game once with snd_save_events command once.
  2. Re: How do I open unit texture files in Rome Remastered?

You need to decompress the textures using IWTE tool first. It's pretty simple, just download the tool and you'll figure it out.
  3. [Tools] Re: Atlas - A new way to mod Rome Remastered much faster, easier and cleaner

I'm getting the same problem. File is there - I copied it manually just in case. Can't get it to work. Edited it, moved it, removed it, made it read only, made it writable - nothing.

Hey Ocyalos! I'm wondering if you have any info on atlas? I want to get back to modding Total Conquest now that I have a bit more time, but I'm not sure whether I should be starting now (with or...

[Tutorials] Re: Adding in NEW FACTIONS to Rome Remastered

    Did you do this step?
    - Run the game with a command "snd_save_events". This will create music states. Otherwise you'll crash on custom battle.

Re: Converting map mods from the original?

You can port a whole mod quite easily. There are changes, but relatively minor. I know that even massive conversions like EB were ported quite quickly.
  9. Citizens: Far Lands - City builder with RTS battle elements

Hello everyone. Some of you might know you as the guy behind Total Conquest for Rome Remastered. During the last two years I've been working on my own game - Citizens: Far Lands. It's being developed...
  10. [Tools] Re: Atlas - A new way to mod Rome Remastered much faster, easier and cleaner

I'll be keeping a close eye on this. Sorry to hear you've been affected by the situation in Ukraine. I'll be reworking Total Conquest from the ground up soon, so I'll be definitely using this!

Not really, unless you script one event to pop up after another.

Very good find :) I think I ran into a similar issue and just brute forced it until it worked. Never really found a cause ;)
  13. Re: How to port Medieval 2 campaign map to Rome Remastered

You'd go about it the same way as porting a Med 2 mod to OG Rome... it's a long process. First you'd need to set up a mod folder. You can find examples on Feral's github page:...

Feral took three years to create the remaster, because the old engine is so stubborn. This is not an easy feat, and at this point you'd probably be better of making a new game from scratch, using...
