Sticky: Re: Three Kingdoms Benchmark Thread

I found the same thing for Warhammer 2 - going from 1600mhz to 3200mhz with my 7700k added about 10 FPS to my minimums.

Sticky: Re: Three Kingdoms Benchmark Thread

As an addendum, I’ve done a little bit more testing on the i7 7700k/GTX 1660 TI build. It looks like moving from TAA => FXAA removes the GPU bottleneck. From there the lows seem to be more to do with...

Sticky: Re: Three Kingdoms Benchmark Thread

True, though imo they have gotten better recently - the Skaven benchmark in WH2 was much better than the original battle one, and the Three Kingdoms looks similar to that.

    I've been fortunate in...

Re: Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia

I kind of wish they'd stuck to their guns a bit more - I'm happy with there being culture based public order penalties rather than conquest, but I think I'd have preferred them to be static rather...

Re: Jagged edges and blurry units

Yeah, with the new patch I've no longer needed to use DSR. The new AA works great.

Re: Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia

They did the same for warhammer 2 - anyone with the blood dlc from 1 got it for free.

Re: Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia

Imo, no - it’s more than that. There are enough changes to merit the standalone, including performance improvements .

Re: Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia

Its not great, especially on normal difficulty. I think it struggles with changes to buildings and recruitment.

Re: Open Beta available Tue 15th May

I like the public order changes, though I think they really need to remove order penlalties from minor settlements like mines. I don’t mind having to control public order, but it doesn’t make a lot...
  10. Re: TWC Total War Saga Britannia benchmark thread - last updated:10.05.2018

That's interesting - I dont think I've ever seen the game use more thab 3gb even on 1440p, sounds like the automatic degradation might be on the conservative side.

    Re: Graphic Settings

There could be something to this - the latest whql nvidia drivers have a bug where they can unistall themselves. There is a hotfix on nvidias website.

Re: Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia

My impressions from a day of playing:

    Good:
    - The Map: I love the map detail, I like that I can recognise that landmarks that I know in the UK. It's also pretty good in terms of using the terrain...

Re: Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia

Northumbria is a "settled" Viking faction - though one of their mechanics is they need to keep their Anglo-Saxon subjects happy.

Could make sense - you’re not producing more food, you’re just taking more from your peasants to use for your armies.

Re: Jagged edges and blurry units

I've had good results with DSR as an alternative to AA.

Re: Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia

We did - it's quoted on page 12 of this thread.

the tl:dr version is that very few people used ambushes in Atillia, so they removed it. They considered changing it to how it works in warhammer but...

Re: Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia

I think the numbers say more about how bad the Ambush stance from Atillia was, but I can sort of see that the effort to make it like Warhammer wouldn't have been worth it.

Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia

The bit I'm waiting to see is how much existing aspects have just been moved around and how well they do the same thing - for example, CA have said that agent abilities/army abilities/edicts are all...

Re: Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia

I feel like there is a discussion to be had on whether these changes are good or not beyond purely presenting it ad "cut content". Probably worth quoting the comment from Jack Lusted (from the Reddit...

Out of curiosity, what resolution/settings were you using?

    I'm dropping about 8fps in ultra (+aa x2) at 1080p

  22. Re: unlocking other provinces & Knight school
