Re: what factions in Warhammer 3?

I'd say it's more likely to be Talabecland than Wood Elves, indicating that it is a map of the Age of Three Emperors (https://warhammerfantasy.fandom.com/wiki/Age_of_Three_Emperors).
    There were an...
  3. Re: DCI: Last Alliance - Númenórean Kingdoms' unit cards (page 138)

    Youhou! 2020 begins well :)
It's a really nice preview, and I love that you can have units from Harondor.

    Re: Tolkien General Discussion II

It's a bit weird that they kept the road built by the Numenoreans, from Fornost to Harad via Minas Tirith. But I like the old forest that covers most of Eriador.

Re: DaC - Official Angmar Discussion

Yeah, no. Wargs are wolves. Big wolves, but wolves. They are not big enough to support a human.
  6. Re: [SUB-MOD] Portrait Enhancement Pack **Good Factions RELEASE (800+ new portraits)**

    Nice work !

Maybe put some more blond guys ? A vast majority of the Numenoreans were from the house of Hador (tall blond men) and that's the same for the black numenoreans (even if by miwing...

Re: DaC - Official Angmar Discussion

On the matter of sorcery, here is what we can find in the lore for Angmar of old (frome H.O.M.E., Tome 12, People of Middle Earth) :
"In Rhudaur an evil folk, workers of sorcery, subjects of Angmar,...

Re: DaC - Official Angmar Discussion

I think it's quite interesting what you propose :).
But, correct me if I'm mistaken, I think there is no more a Rhudaur cavalry in your roster. They were quite nice.

    But overall, I'm thrill with...

    Re: Tolkien General Discussion II

The Numenorean had also mounted archers as auxiliaries, no doubt from the same stock as the Northmen.

For the woodmen living near the western fringe of Mirkwood in the Third Age, Tolkien says that...

  12. Re: DCI: Last Alliance - Durin and other generals of Kingdom of Khazad-dûm previewed 10th May (page 122)

    Harad ?
  13. Re: DCI: Last Alliance - Hill-men of the North unit cards previewed 28th Feb (page 119)

Speaking of cavalry : the dwarves are not able to train cavalry, except by the use of mercenaries. What type of mercenaries are we speaking of (Rhovanion one for exemple) ?
    And are there going to...
  14. Re: DCI: Last Alliance - Hill-men of the North unit cards previewed 28th Feb (page 119)

That's great news ! I did not complain when I noted that, it just didn't occur to me until now.
It's good that Rhovanion can make a difference like that. And it also good that infantry will be the...
  15. Re: DCI: Last Alliance - Hill-men of the North unit cards previewed 28th Feb (page 119)

Awesome ! It made me rewatch the preview for the Hill-men of the North.

And something that I noticed : a lot of factions are limited in cavalry.
  16. Re: DCI: Last Alliance - Dwarves preview video out 5th December (page 116)

The strategy of the Misty Mountains will be interesting with this concept. I think that an army of hundreds of snaga skirmishers will be necessary to overpower a small band of dwarfs scouts ^^.
  17. Re: DCI: Last Alliance - Isildur and Anárion preview out (page 109) + Map preview video (page 111)

    Ouch, that looks tough !
As the three armies are humans, I guess that the orcs were mercenaries ? Or can the "evil" human faction recruit them ?
  18. Re: DCI: Last Alliance - Isildur and Anárion preview out (page 109) + Map preview video (page 111)

Those are Black Numenoreans in the first line against the elves, but I do not recognise the others ennemies. The first shield does not look like it comes from Harad.
  19. Re: DCI: Last Alliance - Isildur and Anárion preview out (page 109) + Map preview video (page 111)

Mordor ? One man can hope :).

It's in the appendices. The Dwarfs marry for love, and so if a female is marrying an another guy, the Dwarf who love her will never marry.

Re: Resource: Harad & Rhûn names

    Great work Ngugi !
It's very nice as a reasoning and thanks for the list of names, they are going to be useful (and not just for Third Age : Total War ^^).
  22. Re: Medieval Kingdoms Total War: The Duchy of Lorraine

A polearm is a "arme d'hast". Not really simple to use unfortunately ^^. Are those men sergeants (In that case --> Sergents) ? Or men at arm (in that case --> Hommes d'armes) ? If not, I have no...
  23. Re: Medieval Kingdoms Total War: The Duchy of Lorraine

    It's realy cool !

I have juste a bit of a problem with some of the names :
Halbardde Hommes : Hallebardier would be best if you mean halberd men. Ou alors Hommes à Hallebarde.
    Hommes à cheval :...
  24. Re: DCI: Last Alliance - DCI: Last Alliance - the Men of the Mountains previewed (page 105) + Dwarven unit cards (page 106)

This looks amazing ! Nice work gentlemen :)
  26. Re: DCI: Last Alliance Total War - the Rhûn Confederacy preview is soon here

I agree with Ngugi, the multiple descriptions give the feeling of...
  27. Re: DCI: Last Alliance Total War - Hill-men preview reuploaded + Lore videos added January 2016

Yes ! More solid men to make Sauron proud. The orcs are weak, Rhûn is not ^^.
  28. Re: DCI: Last Alliance Total War - Settlements preview on page 80 released 26th September

    That's some great news.

    And that's even best :D
  29. Re: DCI: Last Alliance Total War - Ancillary Sneak Peak 20th May

    Re: Feedback: North Rhun

I was playing Dale, without touching Dorwinion. For the other, it was far away factions like Dunlendings or Harad, so basically no impact.

    Re: Feedback: North Rhun

In all my parties I think, I saw North Rhûn beat Rhûn mercilessly. Not a single time Rhûn managed to stop them.
It is a bit weird considering that Rhûn is supposed to be the big one.
