I played a bit, it's a shame you cannot continue, as it feels almost done, just a few things remaining to polish so it doesn't look so beta but all the main things are there. At least that's what it...
So what does he do exactly? Does he affect the capital as a region (ie +% tax, +%income(agriculture, commerce etc)) or factionwide bonuses, if so, how can I check these? Sorry for the noobie...
It would have made sense for it to be Attila, but I'm secretly glad it's for Rome 2, that means there's hope to play it awesomely. Everytime I try to get into Attila I'm repelled by some mysterious...
So hang on, the leader sitting in the capital (not assigned to army) does something? What about the other characters? Thanks.
You mean the one in the previous page?
Understood, thanks for replying. The crash didn't happen again, I'll keep the fix Dresden posted in mind just in case. I posted here because after the crash I loaded game, ended turn and then crashed...
I've had a CTD on AI turn playing as Pompei in IA. Only other mods apart from DeI are GBJ Blood mod, Epic Music mod.
I've been playing this particular campaign for days now, everything fine. A few...
I'm getting a ctd when opening Faction summary screen playign as Maxentius.
I've noticed in GC and IA when selecting a faction the faction bonuses don't display in detail, just the flavour text. For instance, Sea Farers will display the trait name but not explicitly say 10%...
I know you guys have kept the mod up to date, and that CA :wub:ed it up by trying to revive Rome 2 DLC interest. I just want to know if it's a good time to start a new campaign or if there are still...
I'd like to know this as well, where do we stand right now? Can we play more or less like before all this mess?
On one hand it's ok they still release content, but I don't want DeI to get stuck having to catch up to new releases all the time, I miss playing long stable DeI campaigns after EE was released and...
I hear you, DeI accounts for 99% of my R2 playtime. I respect people preferring vanilla, if any exist, but without DeI I would have moved on to another game and maybe only kept up with the news, DLC...
@ Geffalrus
The Thracian romphaia guys fall like flies to projectiles.
Happy new year everyone!
@Tyso3:
Yess please! It's as vital as DeI for me. I was actually playing Attila a while ago an missing the soundtrack you're brought to R2. Also, please don't remove tracks if you rebuild it,...
I hope it doesn't cause the DeI team too much trouble. What made Rome 2 not only alive, but a game I still play often is DeI. No patch or DLC is worth it if I can't play with DeI.
EDIT: well......
Yeah, I've experienced this since the beginning. I always assumed it was some hardcoded limit and didn't complain, since naval battles aren't that crucial for me. I ant to do a Syracuse playthrough...
Yeah, one of the main things I like in DeI is that you have to think about what you're doing, you can't just start recruiting stuff, head to battle and start conquering  without any thought to...
Yeah Dresden, give us some lovin' I finally got Attila. I still love me some DeI though.
Awesome units!
IMHO:
Don't make them more expensive or they'll simply become not worth it. Dropping ammo stores drastically is the way to go, naval battles end up in close quarters anyway and eventually you won't...
It hurts, but I admit some general skills are so superior to others, and to all other bonuses in general, that they become almost mandatory for me. Patron of the military. Some of the governance...
Great read, thanks for posting it
I use it along with Tyso's Epic Music mod for maximum epicness. Seriously, the tracks are so well chosen the whole experience becomes too immersive and life suffers as a result.
I have to say I haven't gotten as far as losing a campaign. But I have suffered major setbacks and had to postpone or even cancel plans (so realistic, just like real life! :p)
But seriously, the...
Wow that's awesome news! I had assumed we'd lose IA for some reason and I kinda like it.
Huehue guess I was a little out of date in my news. That's great, it'll make the early Roman game even more exciting than it is, also time for that Syracuse playthrough.
In your view, is this new...
I remember reading in these forums recently that the team was thinking about a campaign using the IA map with a slightly earlier start that the current GC. Is that still on the table?
You have all taken leave of your wits! He was clearly scandinavian looking, anyone who disputes that displays a total lack of ignorance! :p
It's likely this mod wasn't made with PoR in mind nor the other way around. It's like if you play DeI with a units mod for instance, they might even appear in game these units but they won't be like...
Wow Dresden that looks very promising :)
Yes, they're definately the best, among the "barbarian" factions.
@OP
Why one or the other? We don't even know how WTW will be. We know how CoW is, and we freaking love it which is why we're in this subforum. What's the point of this thread? I doubt anyone reading...
What about making it a free campaign depicting some struggle in early Roman times, is that possible?
Personally I find the new legionaire animations very fitting and menacing, dum dum you cannot stop progress!
I can also see why some people wouldn't like them since when the armies are still far...
What would be the advantage of using the IA map?
Ok, so no capturing ships then. Well, I'm liking the naval battles just for the sake of playing them, and that's on you, DeI team! :D
