Why does the cavalry stop before the heavy infantry?
Alright, i guess it only happens in certain situations as i can usually charge those heavy formed spearmen, which is fine. Although those Cataphracts have their eyes covered just for this reason i believe so i don't know if you can exempt them from the effect.

Personally I find a good lancer charge into heavy infantry can be the deciding factor in a battle, that is if they didn't shy away - is the effect the same for charging into the rear?
Also there was a battle in the Crimean war where a cavalry charge was signalled wrongly against a line of Russian gunmen - they dropped like flies yet the horses kept going. The Trooper by Iron Maiden is based on this disaster.
This animation (stop against heavy infantry) can be used with elephants, horse vs elephant... If Im a horse, I'll be scare! But with heavy infantry... a horse cant see the different between a elite hoplite or a militia hoplite, he just see a shield. But with phalanx... here can work. But isnt possible to add this stop just with some unit type I believe right? Or making heavy spear infantry an exclusive tier, for example, I dont know, I just make units jeje
They still charge into the rear of units. And all heavy infantry have the attribute that stops cavalry charges.
This mod is just getting more and more authentic all throughout the days. Hopefully this could also be used by nearby fires as well, where cavalry (also elephants) will be temporarily unusable and will spend more time on reforming, for them to be used again.
The formation animation preview video is awesome! Can't wait to try this out. :D
Ok lets talk about the the dynamic cavalry charge bugs possibilities.
For example what if you have a heavy infantry unit fighting another unit, then an enemy cav charged home to the rear of your (that remains fighting) heavy unit. While the charging cav gets closer, what if you suddenly anticipated the charge and immediately faced your units to where the charging cav were heading? However, your unit is not completely reformed still. Would the cav charge still be successful in that situation?
