Re: [WIP] Future Updates
I started working a bit on the rebel faction overhaul, thankfully it is possible to add new rebel factions via PFM aswell. I created the Bithynian Rebels, they will spawn on Kyzikos and Nicomedia (the two settlements that Bithynia controls from the start)
Though the AI proves a bit of a mess to work with, they will only recruit armies like the ones shown, after some rebellions they will switch from the first one to the second "template" without any reason, ideally I wanted to create a mix of these two, like some low tier units and some better ones in order to make it more realistic, skirmisher-wise the AI will mix things a bit from rebellion to rebellion.
Additionally, I consider adding factions such as Sparta and Korinthos as rebel factions in their respective cities, I doubt that it will be possible to make them "re-emerging" factions via PFM only, but I could give it a try.

Re: [WIP] Future Updates
Update: I experimented a bit with the re-emerging factions, it seems that it is not possible via PFM only :(

Korinthian Rebels
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

as with the Bithynian rebels, the AI is not going to create a "mix" of some low quality units and some better ones
Thracian Rebels

They will spawn in Abdera, Thasos, Perinthos, Maroneia, Kypsela, Sestos and Ainos. Once again they have the same problem as the other rebel factions.

Re: [WIP] Future Updates
I am back after a longer break, I added the Cretan Rebels, they will spawn in Kydonia, Knossos and Gortyna
Update: I have almost completed the overhaul, only problem is that for some reason the Spartan and Macedonian rebels will spam skirmishers and nothing else. I need to fix that before I publish it
Two new units for the Spartan Rebels
-Spartan Spearmen and Spartan Hoplites
Buffed the Attalid economy
The Athenian naval buff has been fixed to be applied properly
Changes in the recruitment structure, all elite units now take 4 turns to recruit, some upper mid-tier units like Thorax Swords and Protostates now take 3 turns to recruit instead of 2
Improved visibility and structure of the recommended difficulty text in the faction selection screen
Update: I have started an attempt at restoring the map. So far I haven't encountered any major issues

Re: [WIP] Future Updates + Changelogs
Due to the fact that I will have access to the startpos data again, one new historical character will be added in the mod, namely Kritolaos of Megalopolis for the Achaian League. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Critolaos_of_Megalopolis
The work on the map is mostly done, though there are still a few things that need to be addressed.
1) Paros at that time was probably controlled by the Ptolemies. For Paros I have three options: 1) Leave Paros under the control of Athens, 2) Create a new faction, name it something like "Ptolemaic Holdings in the Aegean", or 3) Make Paros independent, as making an entire Ptolemaic faction only for Paros seems a bit bizarre in my opinion. The second league of the islanders was abolished in 167 BC
2) Naxos at that time was under the Ptolemies or Rhodos, as of now I haven't found exact information on who was in control of the island in 150 BC. If someone knows who controlled Naxos around 150 BC, please reply either here or send me a PM (A source would be greatly appreciated). As of now I am considering the option of the Ptolemaic Holdings in the Aegean.
With that said let's get to the previews.
The updated map (Paros and Naxos are still under Athenian control)
-Ephesos, Smyrna and Samos have been removed, their settlements are under Attalid control
-Two new factions have been added, The Euboian League (white), starts with a defensive alliance with the Achaian League, and Melos (grey), they are a client state to Rome.
-Andros was given to the Attalids while Athens now has control over Lemnos (Myrina)
-Sestos was given to Pergamon.
-Ikaria was removed, the island is now under Roman control.
-The resource in Chios was changed from marble to wine, as Chios was a prominent exporter of wine in the Hellenistic era
The next update will also feature two new historical characters, Kritolaos (see the previous post) for the Achaian League and Attalos III of Pergamon. Further historical characters will be present in the Attalid family tree, which has been revamped to give a more accurate depiction of the royal family, however they are not going to be playable.
The "Growing Superpower" trait of the Attalids is going to be nerfed, as will be their economy, thanks to all the new settlements they now control.
The new unit for the Thracians which was previously previewed will also be included.
A new building chain is also considered, it will function similarly to the cults of Empire Divided, it will be a cult of Kotys chain for Athens, as a cult of this Thracian goddess existed in (at least classical) Athens.
An Athamanian unit could also make its appearance as a mercenary unit in the provinces of Epirus, Aitolia and Thessaly.
The province of Hellespontos is scheduled to get a revamp on its mercenary pool, the province will offer a mix of Thracian and Greek units, with some Bithynian influences aswell, as opposed to its fully Greek pool in the current state of the mod.
Make sure to leave feedback on all these proposed changes ;)

Re: [WIP] Future Updates + Changelogs
A quick update on the state of the update. Paros and Naxos became independent factions in the end. I am currently finishing the work on the campaign map (improved diplomacy a bit) and making sure that nothing is missing, (for example unit models etc). Once I am done with that part I will proceed to finish off with the updated mercenary pool at Hellespontos, and -likely- that new building chain for Athens. The Aitolian pirates got a small buff in their stats as I deemed their performance to be sub-par.

Re: [WIP] Future Updates + Changelogs
I am amazed more people have not followed yours and Hellenicas in giving these eras life. I have not seen a Perseus, so I cannot defeat the barbarians at Pydna. But finally got Demetrios Polioketes:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 which I think was my first name on here
