Announcements from Mods & Hosted Mods (Warhammer I, II & III)
The purpose of this thread is to act as a place for any and all Total War: Warhammer, Total War: Warhammer II and Total War: Warhammer III mods and mod teams to share news, announcements and updates regarding their mod.
It is also a thread that will be used by staff to announce if and when a mod has been relocated to a new location, such as from Warhammer Modifications to a Hosted Mod forum.
Interested in mod announcements for other Total War titles as well? Find them below:
All modders and mod teams are welcome to use this thread to post announcements, and likewise anyone may comment, but please keep the following in mind:
- Please be considerate of other modders and mod teams when making your announcements - in other words, try not to spam this thread, but keep it for your more important announcements. There is currently no limit on how many announcements you can post in a certain time frame, but a limit may be added if moderation deems it necessary
- Please be respectful at all times when responding to announcements, whether you are a modder yourself, or just a player
- Presentation is everything! Setting out your announcement in a neat and tidy fashion is a good reflection on your mod. Scroll through the Medieval II: Total War version of this thread for a number of examples. Feel free to PM me before you make your post if you would like some feedback
- Please keep your announcement reasonably brief, and small, visually. i.e. readers should be able to view the entire announcement, along with your signature, without scrolling (on a regular-sized computer screen)
- This thread may be tidied up periodically and posts may be deleted, or edited, to make the thread easy to navigate
- Staff reserves the right to post announcements on behalf of mods and mod teams, but regular members are asked only to post announcements if they are part of a mod team, or they have permission from the mod team - if you are unsure, please PM me or another moderator
What types of things are counted as announcements?
- Newly released mods
- New version releases, patches, and hotfixes
- New previews
- Any other significant updates - if you are unsure, please PM me or another moderator
There are eight other copies of this thread; one each in Warhammer Campaign Map Modifications, Battle Map Modifications, Overhauls, Compilations and Miscellaneous and WIPs, Ideas and Proposals, and one each in Warhammer II Campaign Map Modifications, Battle Map Modifications, Overhauls, Compilations and Miscellaneous and WIPs, Ideas and Proposals. An announcement made in this thread will be copied to those threads (or only to the respective Warhammer I or Warhammer II threads, if relevant to a specific game), and vice versa, as well as to the announcement thread for all titles in General TW Discussion.
Any questions? Please PM me or another moderator.
Cheers!

Re: Announcements from Mods & Hosted Mods (Warhammer II BMM)
So do I just post straight to the thread? Ok I'll show of my Wyvern mod. It's not the biggest mod I've ever made and far from an important announcement but let's get the ball rolling.

A small mod which adds recruitable Wyverns to the Greenskin Roster for Total War Warhammer 2:
"'Foul, cruel and terrifying, Wyverns are among the most vicious creatures that inhabit the World's Edge Mountens. Orcs have been known to greet them with raucous cheers, for they represent both might and brutality, traits that are highly respected in Orc society."

Re: Announcements from Mods & Hosted Mods (Warhammer I & II)
I have two things today,
First my Unit Modding Template for Warhammer 2:
Warhammer 2 Unit Modding Template |

Hello everyone,
I am a big supporter of modding and want to see as many new modders as possible. I specialise in unit mods and have made a template so that learning to make units is as easy as possible fore everyone. Simply overwrite the entries in it with your own custom units.
Sebidees's Unit Modding Template:

HOWEVER. You will not be able to create a roster expansion with this mod alone, you must also read this tutorial that I have written and follow it step by step, the link to the tutorial is below:
Sebidee's Complete Guide to Warhammer Unit Modding

This tutorial will teach you everything you need to know and as a demonstration I make the Altdorf Company of Honour, which I have also released as a unit mod. Click below to see the results of this tutorial and what you can learn to make for yourself.

And second, a companion mod for the Template: Sebidee's Altdorf Company of Honour

"The Altdorf Company of Honour is a Reikland regiment of highly-trained and highly-equipped troops dedicated to the service of the Emperor and the city of Altdorf. This highly distinquished regiment recruits exclusively from other Altdorf regiments, picking only the best and bravest men out of the many units that garrison the city in order to keep up with their fearsome reputation as an elite fighting force.
Other soldiers instantly recognize the regiment thanks to their distinctive appearance of yellow plumes and black steel armour, with their battlefield history soaked in tales of glory and victory. Traditionally led by the youngest son of one of the city's noble houses, the current captain of this regiment is Otto Helstein, a valiant warrior eager to make his mark upon this world."
Hi guys!
Say hello to the Altdorf Company of Honour, a lore-friendly and very famous company of Altdorf Halberdiers. They are recruited from the level 3 Altdorf main settlment building and may be recruited by the Empire. The unit also features a custom officer, Otto Helstein. This mod is also featured in my Warhammer Unit modding tuttorial where I demonstrate in fine detail how I made it. I have released a modding template for Warhammer 2 and if you fancy making units yourself then you should check it out!

Thanks for reading and I hope you like the mod! I am planning to make more units in the future :)

Adds new units, a regional recruitment system with units with local uniforms and heraldry. The best units are limited both in number and places where they can be recruited to increase the importance of key provinces, and keep more balanced armies.

Re: Announcements from Mods & Hosted Mods (Warhammer I & II)
Hi all, just a quick note to say that I am actively managing these announcement threads again. I have gone through and deleted some old announcements for various reasons, mostly because images were broken, etc. If your post was removed, a) sorry, and b) feel free to simply make a new announcement to replace it! They will be copied to the relevant places like they used to be (and FYI this post and others will be deleted in a while as well - if you have any questions, feel free to reply here!).
