Thank you
It's just about pushing yourself into uncomfortable battles :)
Can't believe this was a year ago now... scary stuff.
Sir, I realize this is waaaaaay later - but you NEED to make a let's play.
Just read through this thread, you sir are a hero :worship:
I thank you both! Unfortunately, I haven't played much RTW for the past two years. I still remember the game vividly (I played it an awful lot), but I'd find doing a LP laborious because I've got so much on my plate at the moment. However! I am willing to look at things in other people's campaigns if you want to see what's happening and feel like any advice. If anyone wants to send me a save file, feel free to post it here and I'll open it and have a look. This particularly applies to any campaign where you're certain that you can't win something, because I love that sort of challenge.
Very impressively done that one. Good job .. 3 years ago? Still good!
How did you manage to get past it? I still find myself coming back to RTW every now and then, at least for a short campaign or a couple MP battles.:disgust:
Anyways, great stuff you did back then! You have tales of glory for your children!:laughter:
Unbelievable achievement here.....
Amazing !
Cheers :)
I may do another Rebel campaign in the future and record it with FRAPS as a Let's Play. Could be a bit fun and maybe informative.
Rebel sounds like a brilliant idea. You will start with a number of settlements across the map and ... no worry about public order, i guess (where else can the rioting cities go to :-)
You are good,my favourite unit is phalanx and I like very much all Greek factions :)
I want to ask how you thracian campaign gone because they are difficult to play with. :D
I've conquered all the world with Greek cities in my first campaign.
I am here to announce that after a great deal of work I have bested Genius of the Restoration's record in this campaign.
This afternoon I finished a campaign that completed it in 14 turns.
I will soon post a separate thread (called "Greeks Rule -or- 50 Regions in 14 Turns") to discuss it in detail.
It is a tribute to Genius of the Restoration's skill that it took so long for someone to outdo him with his path as an example to follow. As far as I know, he blazed his own path and that is much harder.
