Need some help with CAS files.

I'm totally confused and frustrated at the moment. I used AutoDesk 3DS max 9 before but the licence did expire thus I can't use it anymore.
So I've downloaded the 2014 version of 3DS max and since then if I export a new model to a CAS file using the RTW script the model in battle looks messed up.
Can I fix this? Is this fixable? I'm very frustrated at the moment.
