[Proposal] Império Português - Re-skin
Hi All,
I haven't seen much discussion around about Portugal, it's role in the period and a dedicated topic towards re-skinning the faction to it's actual glory,
That being said,
I've had trouble finding reliable sources on 18th century Portuguese uniforms, other than what's already listed on Kronoskaf,

If anyone has any URL's/plates/pictures/paintings/engravings/woodcuts of 18th century Portuguese uniforms please gather them here so we can give the modding community a springboard for re-texturing.
Once a good map mod comes out that actually portrays all of South America, then the real fun can begin.
:)

maybe you search for The Battle of Vimeiro than you must find some Uniforms ;)

Re: [Proposal] Império Português - Re-skin
Hi Franky,
Thanks for the picture and the suggestions, but do you have anything on Portuguese uniforms during the 18th century?
I have plenty of resources for the Portuguese peninsular army during Napoleonic times but virtually none for the period 1705-1792, which is really what I would want the skins to replicate, as much as I do love Napoleonic times.
I've even had trouble finding the names of battles portugal was involved in during the 18th century? Aside of course from that nasty attempt by the Spanish to invade in 1762 - but I've no luck in finding any information of the uniforms from that conflict either. :(
Re: [Proposal] Império Português - Re-skin
Didn't you posted some screens in the portugese talk topic?
Re: [Proposal] Império Português - Re-skin
It seems someone has already started re-skinning portugal, althought he has posted it in the Portuguese History Discussion thread in the Historical Research section of the general forums, where it is bound to get limited coverage, the link below will take you to the post, it looks promising.

However, his Caçadores model is from the Napoleonic era, not Empire's time frame, which is the only problem I have with it,
I don't know where he sourced the material from either, although the other plates he uses are definitely 18th century.
