Sadly enough this happens to me also. Also happens to me with other intensive mods such as Bellum Crucis and COW: Beginning of the End Times. My only advice is to try the 4gb fix for Medieval 2 but this does not help much in preventing the random crashes.
A new build of 17th Century has been released, and with that there are 4 new factions for me to post today.
There are a few new units for some of the other factions I have already posted about already. Most of the Central Asian factions receive some basic cannon.
Lan Xang Kingdom (Laos)
Strength: Excellent light units
Weakness: Poor economy, surrounded by powerful enemies
Re: A Rebranding of Asia Empires now called 17th Century Revolution
Yarkent Khanate
Strengths: Good heavy cavalry
Weaknesses: Lacking in capable siege units
Re: A Rebranding of Asia Empires now called 17th Century Revolution
Later Le Dynasty (Vietnam)
Strengths: Excellent light infantry and war elephants
Weaknesses: Lacks good cavalry and heavy units
Re: A Rebranding of Asia Empires now called 17th Century Revolution
Qinghai (Tibetan Plateau area) and Khoshut Khanate
This is one faction. It shares many units with the Dzungar Khanate, probably to reflect their shared Oirat origin and to reflect the point in Tibetan history where Tibet was essentially a protectorate.
Strengths: Decent mountain/highland units
Weaknesses: Is a rump state, making it difficult to expand
I will refrain from posting Dzungar units, as you can see them in the other post.
Here are the Tibetan units.

Re: A Rebranding of Asia Empires now called 17th Century Revolution
Hello, how can we translate this mod to English language? Which files need to be translated? Thanks...
Re: A Rebranding of Asia Empires now called 17th Century Revolution
Are you planning on releasing a translated version in the future? If not, what would need to be done to make one?

There are plans but the team is busy.
The files within the "text" folder are the ones that need to be translated
Re: A Rebranding of Asia Empires now called 17th Century Revolution
The mod looks pretty sick. I noticed your chinese mods in your signature! will try them out asap!!
Are any major updates on this mod planned?
Re: A Rebranding of Asia Empires now called 17th Century Revolution
btw, Qing Yi maybe "Thanh Nghe". Thanh Nghe troop is a elite troop in Trinh lord's army.
Re: A Rebranding of Asia Empires now called 17th Century Revolution
You might want to check out Suvarnabhumi Mahayuth mod of Mount and Blade for Vietnam units. They have nice helmets and armors

Re: A Rebranding of Asia Empires now called 17th Century Revolution
Was able to install it. It looks amazing, it's a shame that it's in Chinese.
Re: A Rebranding of Asia Empires now called 17th Century Revolution
New factions and units in the 1.3-1.4 release that came out recently. Unfortunately it's paid. Don't shoot the messenger; I'm just here to post about the new units.
Mughal Empire
Strength: Decent cavalry, elephant, and firearm troops
Weakness: Lacks elite infantry
Marathas Confederacy
Shares a lot of the Bhumiya/Hindu Indian Roster as well as the Elephant Units
Strength: Excellent light infantry and war elephants
Weakness: Lacks cavalry
Kingdom of Mysore
Shares a lot of units with the other 2 Indian factions
Strength: Excellent late period units
Weakness: Lacks heavy cavalry
Re: A Rebranding of Asia Empires now called 17th Century Revolution
Ayutthaya Kingdom of Siam
Strength: Decent light infantry, capable elephants
Weakness: Lacks heavy troop types
Taungoo Dynasty of Myanmar
Strength: Excellent light infantry and cavalry
Weakness: Lacks heavy infantry
Re: A Rebranding of Asia Empires now called 17th Century Revolution
Lmao yet again the asians are selling their poorly made mods
Dont get too hyped guys, only give them money if you have to
One thing I can assure you of tho. How ever flashy it might seem its nowhere near polished and well made as EB2 or SSHIP so please if anything donate something to these guys as a support then pay for these poorly made and expensive mods
Re: A Rebranding of Asia Empires now called 17th Century Revolution
Hi all, I want to give an update on the dismal state of things with the mod.
So the "17th Century Mod" team is essentially dead. The issue is that their mods are always "locked" behind a homemade launcher. So if you try to launch with the .bat file for whatever reason the mod will crash. If you launch with the launcher it'll work some file editing magic that will enable the mod to be playable. Now some people have managed to crack their other mods so there's no need for a launcher. I'm trying to figure out what method they use to lock their mods; seems like a combination of intentional typos in certain files that cause a guaranteed CTD. However, for whatever reason the log file is not generated so I can't specifically track down errors.
I think the mod is too well developed to be put to waste; I have therefore uploaded the most recent version here and see if anyone here can figure out how to unlock the mod.

Meanwhile for the other (free) version of the mod made by Againster's team they are also working on real life issues....
Re: A Rebranding of Asia Empires now called 17th Century Revolution
What a shame, i really wanted to try it.
Re: A Rebranding of Asia Empires now called 17th Century Revolution
Shady dealings on the mod team's behalf. One is tempted to take a look at the files to see if it's possible to crack it, out of pure spite. I'm unsure what the rules would be from a TWC perspective with regards to that, but since charging money for mods is illegal and hurts our entire community, I can't imagine too much backlash, while the mod team has no leg to stand on, I'd suspect...

I previously held back from posting the link to the final version of the mod because I didn't want to burn a bridge with the mod team. During that time I had an account (and still do) with Wanmod where the account had "mod privileges" so when i used the launcher it would ask for my login info and verify. After verification is complete the launcher would "unlock" the mod. Now the launcher doesn't work and the mod team has given up on updates, so I don't think I'll be burning any bridges by posting this for everyone to try and crack.
