So my campaign against Ptolemais continue and i needed somehow employ Nabataeans. However this war cost 400000 and i was surprised that were nabataeans who accepted that for cheaper price.hope it will not turn against me, coz Saba seem to be stronger in graphs and may be encouraged when manage defeat orange lions.
actually i am heading with diplomat to parthia to do something with Armenia, i dont like them.
Balearic Slingers are still more capable in melee than any other sort of slingers, as well as being equalled only by Sphendonetai in range/damage.
Slingers were arguably overpowered (though not as badly as horse archers) in EB1.
An Aedui general admires his reconquered homeland, it would not last. (unusual moment late in the game 2.1b)

You can hide the UI by clicking some button I believe, not sure if it was f12, scroll lock or print screen.

The new 2.2 AI is really good. Carthage landed an army and tried to take back Lilybaeum. Have never seen the AI try to take back settlements using itīs navy.
They never took it back though. But a good try of them :thumbsup2
It would have been even more interesting move on the AI part if they had sent reinforcements while the city was under siege.
That isn't possible unfortunately, the LTGD is hardcoded to make a single decision each turn vs a target, so it will disembark turn 1 and then on turn 2 move/attack. There are no possible ways around it that we (the people in the AI workshop) know of and scripting a reset doesn't work either as the LTGD won't process again in time to update per character movement. The logs aren't really promising either as the LTGD log indicates there is just a child decision tree processed inside the main instance. So even if that worked the reevaluation would only execute for the faction we don't really care about rather than the main one. :(Quote:

Not like this boys T_T. Why in the world would CA make the ai behave like this in the first place...
What does LTGD stand for?
It stands for the Long Term Goal Director.
Quote:
// The ai_labels specify the structure of the long term goal director (LTGD) which drives the high level campaign AI.
// At the start of every factions turn (or when diplomacy changes), the LTGD is re-evaluated as follows:
// for every target faction (all other factions), evaluate the defend decisions
// for every target faction, evaluate the invasion decisions
// any invasion priorities are modified by the faction standing (relationship) towards the target
// depending on current game state, a new target with a high invasion priority may be selected to invade
// the LTGD can be debugged with the preferences '[log] level = ai.ltgd trace' and '[ai] ltgd_logging = true.
Check the 2.2 AI thread. I think its outdated at this point though.
