Re: Steam, Mods and Launcher
I forget to say something:
If you have a box telling "fatal error" after having executed the mod in the launcher (it might occur when you attempt to launch the game just after having loaded new data), just restart it from the steam shortcut, and it should be fine.
Have fun :)
Re: Steam, Mods and Launcher
Thanks man, great idea, +rep.
Re: Steam, Mods and Launcher
I'm still having issue, after I copy the files into the mod folder and then use an application to add the mod to the launcher, when I launched the mod and I tried to play a campaign it told me to select an option, which obiously means I configured something incorrectly.
I then tried to run the .bat, selected the campaign I wanted to play, the whole world one. The game didn't launch, so I tried the next option, open the.vat after the files had loaded and type 0. That didn't work either so I went to the last option and opened the trueconquest.bat, which did nothing.
What can I do?
Re: Steam, Mods and Launcher
Could someone explain to an ignoramus like me how one goes about editing something like the Regedit? Don't really want to screw up my computer.
Bear in mind, I know nothing. What's a key?!
Re: Steam, Mods and Launcher
This is some what confusing :P
Re: Steam, Mods and Launcher

Re: Steam, Mods and Launcher
I have third age total war mod, and I wanted to download this mod as well, but I'm not sure if I can.
I just want some clarity.
Can you have two different mods for the same game?
Re: Steam, Mods and Launcher
As long as Third Age doesn't add any files to the Medieval II Total War\data\ui folder there shouldn't be a problem.
