Re: N.U.M. - New Units Mod
Tried it again and it works! :)
I have a few suggestions for units if you need inspiration:
Germanic Cleavers: 2H axe unit with frenzy.
The Silent Fangs: Also a Germanic unit that has those wolf helmets and can ambush like Iceni Ambushers. Got the idea, imagine them hiding in tall grass or bushes with those wolf pelts, would make a lot of sense. :)
Armored Indian Elephants for Parthia: Those cool ones that Seleucids have.
I will think of more if you want. :)
Re: N.U.M. - New Units Mod
Do your Cretan Archers yell "Krishna Arshers!" when selected?
Else they are not the real ones.
Re: N.U.M. - New Units Mod
sword units for sparta please
Re: N.U.M. - New Units Mod
For Axum/Meroe
I spotted the Carthaginians in with something called 'Mercenary African Hoplites' maybe those would be a good starting point for those factions in terms of better spear infantry? (since they only have levies)
Of course, drop the Mercenary portion and make them recruitable from level 3 noble barracks and up, I think also giving Axum/Meroe access to some African Elephants built from the Exotic Studs Stable chain (level 2 or 3)
probably wouldn't also hurt to give them access to some mounted camel units either, spears, bows, swords. go crazy here. Arabian factions have all the details for these. Recommended level 2/3 Heavy Studs Stable upgrade to build these.
and yes definitely, make Aethiopian Cavalry a recruitable unit from any stable at rank 1.
Re: N.U.M. - New Units Mod
I suggest adding some kind of an eastern hoplite for Parathia
Re: N.U.M. - New Units Mod
Carthage was known for its immense variety of units, if you could make some Carthaginian units it would be most appreciated.
Re: N.U.M. - New Units Mod
How about some sort of 'auxiliary' for Sparta? Since we are limited to a certain amount of Spartans, why not allow us to recruit generic Greek hoplites from the other city states we conquer? Historically Spartans fought beside Athenians & the like.
Re: N.U.M. - New Units Mod
This not compatible with the new beta patch? Game crashes when I try to select Parthia in a custom battle.
Tried with no other mods in the data folder.
Re: N.U.M. - New Units Mod
Man this will be great i want more units!!! great job
Re: N.U.M. - New Units Mod
Which barracks do I recruit the Immortals from?
Re: N.U.M. - New Units Mod
Really, really cool stuff. Keep it coming!
I might even try a Parthian campaign in the future.
Re: N.U.M. - New Units Mod
Has this been updated for the new beta patch?
Really like the looks of this so far!
Re: N.U.M. - New Units Mod
How do i recruit the Immortals in game?
Re: N.U.M. - New Units Mod
Any updates on the horizon?
Re: N.U.M. - New Units Mod
Might update tomorrow and add a couple of new units, but been spending all my time on gta5 this week..
Anyone got any suggestions for units they want to see or factions they want expanding?
Re: N.U.M. - New Units Mod
I know this is historically inaccurate but ill never be able to play Rome 2 without some proper egyptian units, not Ptolemaic but old fashioned New kingdom.
Re: N.U.M. - New Units Mod
hey man :)) i would like some special parthia units you can use earlier in the game. another idea would be a carthage pack since there are just  carthage unit mods out there. the same goes for carthagian uniform-colours...looks retarded
just keep modding man... the biggest fail in rome 2 was the unit variety for me so pls help makeing the game a 10/10
Re: N.U.M. - New Units Mod
Well everyone is getting archers.. I'm pretty sure I will get that done soon.
Is there any evidence or lack of to suggest that the bow was not in use in certain parts of the campaign map in the time frame of the game?
Anyone know any good image hosting sites that give you more than photobucket? oh.. and for free..
Re: N.U.M. - New Units Mod
lol what about a onager that can throw multiple missiles at same time is that possible? like age of empires 2
or some kind of professional assassins only hired as "mercenaries" archers with huge dmg , range but high upkeep
Re: N.U.M. - New Units Mod
Maybe look at some of the greek colonies for inspiration. I would love to see Baktria, Syrcuse, and Colchis fleshed out.
