Got it. Thanks a lot!
New minor update (2.0.1) update released! This is just a bunch of fixes for a couple of CTDs and multiple bugs reported, and a few little improvements based on feedback. Nothing big. Changelog and download link in the main post.
And another minor update (2.0.2) released. A hotfix really, because one of the fixes caused a CTD when certain actions tried to close a table. Also, it includes now a chinese translation, by XuXinMing.
Can this be used to make Hybrid Startpos or it is simply for the packs and not the ESFs?
Only for packs. ESF support is one of the long standing things in the todo list.
Hi! I am new to the entire RPFM system and am not sure how to do the installation. I was able to download RPFM2.02 using the given link.
However, once I unzipped it, it's just a whole bunch of "technical files" displayed in a folder. There isn't even an EXE. file that allows me to click on to initiate the program.
What am i supposed to do? Is the downloaded rpfm-2.0.2-windows bundle simply a patch that has to be pasted into an old RPFM base folder and overwrite the exiting files? (if so, where to get the old version?) Is it a installation program? Or is it an up-and-ready software that can be used directly? If it's not a patch then where is the exe. file? How to even turn it on?
There so many confusions and no instruction...:no:
you just need to download the rpfm-2.0.2-windows.7z file, unpack it somewhere, then run the "rpfm-ui.exe" file. If there is not an exe in the 7z, you probably downloaded the source code instead of the release.
Thank you for your reply! It's now working! You are the best!!!
How to do math operations in "rewrite selection"? for example I want to edit a line that's "1000", I want to make it "1500" so I want to multiply 1000 x 1.5.
Mr. Frodo my good sir, can you tell me how to resize icons like the old versions? They appear huuge now..
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
not possible yet, it was also requested by others, maybe in next update?
For math operations, check the "is math operation" checkbox, then do "{z} * 1,5". It may not be z the current value, can't remember right now.
And for the icon, as Steph said. For now, to resize icons... resize the window. A better solution may come in a future patch.
Been using RPFM for awhile now for all my Warhammer 2 editing, just recently ran into a weird issue i cant figure out. When trying to save my edits to variantmeshdefinitions in !jmw_helf_expanded_tex.pack(something ive done a bunch b4) i get this error message
Attachment 361985
what do i do?
mmm did you tried to add something to the packfile, then deleted the source before saving or something? Or it's consistent when saving? also, only when saving, or with "save as" too?
Hi, I just found this program and want to open a file names IS_db imperial splendour mos for Empire, though I can open most files as you can see with the image it won't open the file i need... any ideas?
i have added and removed stuff from the packfile, so ill try restoring a backup and redoing my latest edits. And its consistent with both saving and save as. Sidenote i can alter the Dbs and save changes works, but if i mess with some varientmeshdefinitions then i get error.
There is something wrong with newest version. Textual files are randomly replaced with messed data - actually i had one issue with animation file and variantmeshdefinition. Files were previously ok, then, after making some changes in db files the content was replaced. It happened with Attila mod. I also had problem to force RPFM to recognize mod as Attila it swithced to Rome 2 for no reason.
Known rare bug I´m still trying to find the source of. Some precautions have been put in place in 2.1 so this doesn't happen, but.... as I still don't know the cause, it's not sure it's fixed. Oh, and the game selected thing, is because before opening the packfile you had selected a game that does not support that packfile, so it defaults to the older game that supports it (in this case, rome 2).
And another update. This one brings Troy basic support along some very needed improvements (schema update should no longer fail 9 out of 10 times) and some new features. Changelog on the OP. Also, this update has been a bit rushed, so... here is the "known issues" list:
